Woodford Double Oak is solid.
Eagle Rare if they have it.
Old Forrester 1897, 1910 or 1920
Buffalo Trace is my go-to
And Blantons if you can find it.
I sell the stuff for a living, just fyi. Have fun.

For bourbon specifically, I'm actually a fan of Longbranch from Wild Turkey.
If you're going scotch to celebrate the old people at Rupp that don't stand up, I'd recommend Dahlmore 15, Abelour 18, or Glen Grant 10.

I'd recommend a big plastic half-gallon jug of Evan Williams.

Got lucky and received both of these as gifts for my birthday. I would recommend Colonel Taylor but I haven’t opened yet.
I usually stick to Basil Hayden’s, Russell’s Reserve, Michter’s, Old Forester Prohibition Style, or Elijah Craig small batch.
Edit: Woodford and Buffalo trace are good as well.

And yes,the bottles at Costco are great. You get a good value and a solid bourbon to keep on hand for parties and guests, gameday, etc and if things get buckwild you're not mad the next day when it's empty, as opposed to when friends come over and tear through the good stuff. Some bottles are just for special occasions, you know?
Not a fan of the rye though. Haven't met a rye I liked yet.

Kentucky Gentlemen would be appropriate for you to drink your tears away

EH Taylor - My personal favorite of the ones I've tasted out of the upper end BT products not named Pappy.
Angels Envy - Rye
Barrel-Seasgrass
Stagg Jr
Pinhook - High Proof rye

I found a bottle of Blanton’s the other day in Sugarland but they wanted like $200 for it. I didn’t pull the trigger.
