I love blackjack. And poker. I just don't go to casinos much. And when I do, I take a specific amount of money with me. When it's gone, I'm done. It's strictly entertainment for an evening.

I'd take the money and run if I won $1,000.

I'm not an OT baller though, so that isn't walking around money for me.

Easy come, easy go.

I built it up over six hours of playing NL Texas Hold Em. Started at 5-10 with $1000, went to 10-25, then 25-50, then 50-100 with a $10,000 max buy-in.

Got busted with a full house. My nuts shrunk into acorns and I almost threw up.

People who catch a flush on the river after going all in can go frick themselves. Unless I do it. In which case it's totally badass.

I'm like that. My problem is that when I win, I tend to play most, if not all of it back.

Alrighty guys, I'm going to bed. I'm exhausted. Good night everyone.

Semo, again, if you need to talk, please don't hesitate to call me. I know what you're going through and I'm here if you need to vent or just talk.

I flopped a full house. He had pocket 10s and went runner-runner to finish with quads.

That too would have pissed me off, assuming you played aggressively. People who make huge bets when they aren't even really bluffing are irritating as hell.

Thanks, Coastie. I might take you up on that.

And I'm right behind you. The whiskey has done it's work, and I'm gonna catch some sleep. Night everyone!

I re-raised before the flop. He checks the flop, I bet, he re-reraises, I go all in for $18,000 and change.

He calls with pocket 10s. fricking donkey.

And I'm still telling the story and he's long since spent my money.

Poker is a tough game to play with people you don't know. there are people that know how to play, and people that don't. and either can win based on luck. to win based on knowledge and skill takes time, skill, and luck.

FIFY. If you are superior player, you don't need luck over time. For one hand, one tournament, etc... obviously you need luck.

This is what I mean. even the best player can lose a tournament to a crappy player due completely to bad luck. But over time he will come out on top.

I would have been livid. I fricking hate people who don't know what they are doing pulling that kind of crap. Also, re-raising after a check is a bitch move.

If he had flopped a set of 10s, then I can maybe understand it. But calling an 18 grand bet with a pair of 10s is certifiably insane. Sounds like a guy who was either drunk off his arse or had a massive amount of disposable income.

I was with heavy heart that I learned today of the death of Goober from the Andy Griffith show. While one might've expected all of the Mayberry residents to be big Tar Heel fans, Goober was an LSU fan from the jump. While difficult to see, he actually hasd a very vary small LSU Tiger pin, circa 1964, on the lip of his "crown" cap. His last words are reported to have been "Go Tigers! Thank God North Carolina had a tight end who couldn't catch the football in the first game of he 2010 season in Atlanta!"
