If you're not an Alabama fan you don't know what you're missing.

The only fanbase in college football that knows what it's like to be the best of all time is Alabama's. In my lifetime I've seen Alabama win 11 NCs. That kind of success drastically changes your perspective. Winning 10 games a year simply isn't enough. The season is a failure if Alabama isn't in it to the last game of the season. That culture of winning and mentality is what Nick Saban found when he arrived at Alabama and it helped him get where he is today.
Alabama makes coaches and players better. There are no excuses at Alabama. There is no acceptable reason for not competing for NCs every year. The Blue Blood at Alabama runs too deep for mediocrity - and winning 9 or 10 games a year in today's college football scene is mediocre.
When I watch an Alabama game I do so with the sole objective of watching a game that will propel the Tide toward the NC. Any outcome that eliminates that possibility is an anathema to all Alabama fans. Losing games that make or break a season is simply unacceptable at Alabama.
