Grantham can recruit OLBs.

If that is how you measure a successful DC, then take him.

Outside of that, I would look to the NFL. There has to be a rising DC or experienced DC who can leave a better mark in the SEC.

Golding did a damn good job at UTSA, and apparently wowed Saban with his football nerddom in the talk they had. Doesn't matter at this point. Coaches are a complete gamble - practically nobody is guaranteed to be a success.
