This. Look I'm sorry Peyton didn't get the Heisman but Tee Martin is a goddamn hero for winning the Title and beating Florida.
Peyton without a doubt is the better QB and an awesome ambassador but he joins a long line of great Vols who should've won the Heisman.
And let's not forget that the Heisman is rigged. It's full of voters who vote for their own. If you have someone on the inside you stand a far better chance of winning because someone is there to politic for you.

Win the national title.
If you do, or are at least the favorite going into the title game, there's a good chance you get the Heisman as a bonus.
Unless there's someone spectacular that season, voters will lean towards the "best" player on a favored team.

Fun fact. Alabama did not have a player win the Heisman until 2009, Saban's 3rd year. Since then Bama has had 2 RBs, 1 WR, & 1 QB win... all within a 13 year time,

Another fun fact is the Vols have NEVER had a Heisman winner.
