They would be 18-12. Our RPI was 67 before our win.
This would be our resume if we win our next 3 against SCAR, LSU, and win either UT or Texas A&M
Quality Wins
- #15 St. Mary’s (83-81)
- vs Florida (72-60)
- @ Florida (72-69)
- vs Alabama (65-46)
- vs #18 Tennessee (73-62)
- vs #21 Texas A&M/ #18 Tennessee
Bad losses
-@SDSU (68-75)
-@UMASS (62-72)
-@ Vandy (66-81)
- vs SCAR (57-64)
My guess is if this happens, and we win our first round SECtourney matchup, then we could get into a First 4 game.
That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if we dropped 4 in a row.

If you beat LSU, lose at USC, and then beat A&M and UT, it will be close. RPI should be in the 50-55 range. If you win out, absolutely.

Depends on what State does. They are the front runner for a ninth bid and they have the head to head over Georgia.

They will be in at that point. No way a team with 5 top 50 wins does not get into the Tourney.
They would also likely have a favorable matchup in the first round of the SEC Tourney. A win or two there locks it up.

With only 18 wins? I doubt it. You'd have to win a couple in the SECT to have a chance probably.

Vandy made it in last year with like 18 wins. Number of wins doesn’t matter as much as quality wins. The NCAA wants to know that if they put you in the tourney you will create a good game that will help generate more money.
Plus, at that point UGA could be a high seed and could be called a potential Cinderella.

Unless they're lying, there's a new thing with quadrants being taken into factor, and Georgia has 5 quadrant 1 wins and 4 quadrant 2 wins, even considering the 15-11 record. Georgia could pull a 2017 Vanderbilt in theory.
More likely though, NIT Fox has figured out a new way to piss away his team's chances at going to the tournament. His teams almost always have a slump and this time it happened to be January-February instead of before the new year, even though he tried as hard as hell to do it then, with 2 pretty bad losses.
Georgia will go 3-2, or maybe even 2-3, and it will be win the SEC tournament or lose to another mid major in the NIT.

I suspect a 9-9 conference record would be enough. A tournament win would probably seal it.

State is in better shape than Florida
Florida’s remaining schedule is brutal. If they don’t pull some upsets they could be on the wrong side of the bubble

We owe you one, we'll be taking it soon. Or not, we're crazy bipolar.

State is in better shape than Florida
That said it wouldn't surprise me to see UF lose three of four and barely miss

Lol no. State is a good NIT team. They have just been playing well as of late since somehow they are finally making their 3's.
eta
Playing well as of late has resulted in 2 losses for them by the way.

But to answer OP's question, yes, UGA would be in decent shape if they were to win three of four

If UGA can finish 9-9 and win a game in conference tourny then they would be in most likely.

Unfortunately I think UGA will hold on to Fox till all of the coaches in this investigation have been revealed.
McGarity is a pussy and will be too scared to pull the trigger until all this uniform/AAU payola crap is out there. He won't risk hiring a coach who might be involved.

And this makes you unhappy? This seems like the only sensible response from an AD worth his salt. Imagine the ungodly criticism he would face if he didn’t wait and he did end up hiring a coach who gets caught up in the morass. If he were my AD and he did make a move to hire before the coaches involved are revealed I would want him fired.

That Vandy loss yesterday was an awful one.
Their remaining games:
@TENN
AUB
@ALA
UK
Definitely not an easy stretch, plus they've got SECT games
