But seriously... Seems like being the only SEC school in a state like Louisiana is a much bigger advantage than having the conference headquarters in your borders.
Even crazier is that schools like Bama and Auburn are able to win championships nearly yearly in a state that is usually ranked #49 right ahead of MS in most metrics.
Just whatever.

To the OP, LSU has a bad arse team, but if they had another major program instate like the state of Alabama or Florida does it would hurt their recruiting a lot. With that said they would still be good because they would always be big brother like BAMA is.

I don't think A&M and Arky pull too much. We definitely get raked over by the Bamers and Barners and Corndogs though.

LSU benefits so much from being the only SEC school in their state. There is no question where all of the top in state talent is going and because of that they are able to have a great program and attract plenty of out of state talent as well. If MS only had one school, we would be a Alabama-ish program and would be a national contender year in and year out.

I know it's hard for you to deal with how poor your program is so you want to rationalize and make excuses. You sound like A&M fans who love to talk about how they had just as good a history as LSU circa 1999, convieniently passing over the fact that they have to include their best period and throw out ours just to get the programs even.

That's the dumbest fricking thing I've heard. How does saying if we only had one program in MS we'd be just as good as LSU if not better due to our much better JUCO football the same as trying to erase a period of time. Go eat a corn dog and quit bitching about being Bama's bitch.
