....can Oats be fired for cause?

If I were Oats' attorney, I'd be making the case that he was covering up Miller's involvement with the blessings of his employer.

Covering up what?

What if everyone in the AD knew and cooperated with the police?

Would not be surprised if parents start pulling their kids from the school for safety reasons.

I wouldn't want my daughter going there if the school administrators are going to cover for athletes that may have facilitated murder.

That'd be lack of institutional control.

You know how some years the field of the KY Derby has 6 or 7 horses and some years every gate is full? This week's "dumbest thing I've read" is like the latter example of the derby and it's just Wed morning

yet they didn't even discipline someone who provided the gun used to murder someone and was at the scene and had bullet holes in his car nor reveal anything to anyone while extending the coaches contract? Great look there.

Let's not try and act like you care about the safety of kids at school. You simply wrote about this because it was a negative story about Alabama. You are making a mockery of a woman who lost her life because you hate Alabama, point blank period

It is interesting to me that Oats answered the question the way he did yesterday and then came out to apologize after getting slammed, rightfully. Yet, I can’t find any statement about yesterdays revelation from the AD or any Admin. Did I just not see it? It’s pretty telling. Right now they are kind of letting Oats twist in the wind a bit. They have to make some kind of statement today.

You'd think the AD and the President of the university would come out in full support of Oats.

I think that's why Oats made the statement that everyone in the AD knew.

He's protecting himself and his salary in the event Alabama offers him up for slaughter.

Accessory to Murder at the very least. He willing provided a gun to a drunk man that used it to kill someone. If he never delivers that gun, that 5 year old child still has a mother

Or he allowed a teammate to collect that teammate's own gun out of his back seat. It's all in the wording.

Semantics are cool and all but not when someone was killed in cold blood. Tired of seeing this cop out by numerous Bama fans.

Don't forget parking his car in a manner that blocked the victim's Jeep according to police.

Who transported the gun to the crime scene at 1:30 in the morning?

To the scene of a heated conflict.

Context means a lot.

This wasn't a call at 9:00 am the next day saying "Hey man, did I accidentally leave my gun in your car last night?"

Some people don't know how to READ!! Read the police statement again. You missed a word. Which isn't unusual for a MSU supporter.
