Because Texas is desperate for a legit victory, and they don’t want that win explained in any way that diminishes the win.

Yet bama suffered the same exact fate when encountering the same exact circumstances. That’s alone supports the legitimacy of the points I have made about the game.

In the 2009 Sugar Bowl Utah was the better team.
But Saban already had a NC with LSU.
There is no proof that UGA is anywhere on that level.
Some of their fans are looking for someway to justify a loss. You can go the other way and say Kirby Smart looks more like Mark Richt than Saban.
Both have pretty much the same record after three years and both had 1 SEC Championship

None of what you just said diminishes my points. This isn’t a resume v resume comparison.
I am only comparing Kirby and saban in that exact situation. Game to game. 3 total games. The better team suffered a let down in each of them, and everyone should have seen it coming.

Utah was clearly better than Bama in 2008.
The Oklahoma Game was a let down but like I said Saban had already won 3 NC in 4 years.

Only looking at 3 games. Nothing else matters to this. Point is, Bama was better than both and still lost, just like uga did.

We as football fans attempt to justify everything.
The more delusional we are the more conflicts we run into.
I am thinking the issues with Georgia are much larger than a lot of their fans like to admit.
We will see in the upcoming years. Ultimately the failure of schools like UGA is on their fanbase.

Not sure what other issues you are talking about. Here, we are just discussing the type of situation we saw in the bowl game. 3 total games. Kirby learned from saban, and we know Saban has issues with getting his team up for a game in that exact situation. Why expect Kirby to do better in that situation than saban?
