where would each of them finish?

I'm convinced any of them would finish 2nd behind Clemson, and depending in which division they would be placed in, they'd play Clemson for the ACC conference title.

This is how far above the SEC is over the ACC. It illustrates just how difficult it is to navigate the SEC to get to the title game and how easy it is (for Clemson) to navigate the ACC to get to their title game.

It is what it is...but, I'm wondering if our own excellence as a conference could prove to be a double-edged sword down the road in winning future nattys. It's not that we won't win some, but the road is certainly not going to be near as easy as for other conferences and their members i.e., the physical toll, etc.

The way Clemson handled Alabama last year was disturbing. It shouldn't have been.

Well we put up 35 and 600 yards offense vs Clemson last year

So we are going to beat them this year.

SC got boat raced by VA in the bowl game last year....

Now 1/2 their Defense was hurt (In good part thanks to the awful field conditions Vaught–Hemingway), and their best WR sat out to protect his health in advance of the NFL draft.

But I get your point and agree with you.

You do realize UVA rolled the dirt peckers last year? So they would be no higher than 3rd based on your logic..

It's easy to cherry pick one year to form a point of view. FSU will eventually get it's head out of its arse and become a major player. So will VT and Miami.

Bama was a wore out team last year. Clemson wasn’t because they don’t play any damn body

ACC Coastal is a joke. Won by a team that finished 7-7 overall.

Edit: 7-7 is a really weird record, did a double-take when I saw it

When Bama's average margin of victory was 33 points in the SEC last year you will have to explain to me how that wore them out. The starters were all sippin on gatorade by halftime while pondering their greatness.

FSU will be back to their normal self. It may not be with Willie T, but. The teams you mentioned would not be a threat to FSU and Clemson over the long haul.

This is the kind of positive attitude we could use more of around here.

Their offense was gassed from running up and down the field.

How was Bama worn out? What kind of close game or physical game did they play? They rested starters in the 2nd half just like Clemson

We lost what, six players in that game? Ole Miss must have lost four.

I am a closet Ole Miss fan who bas attended many many games there over the year but the field was worse than a cow pasture that day. It was bad.

They would be top 5 in the ACC . Second in the ACC is really pushing it . These are average to slightly above average SEC teams .

Probably not under the current coaching staff though... so you're looking at 3-4 years before this happens in an optimistic timeline.

People have been saying this since they joined the ACC... they really just haven't. Doesn't mean they won't, but repeating this over and over again with no evidence to the contrary is odd.
