A&M didn't admit women until 1965, so 1942 was completely out of the question.

1971 Miss America was Phyllis George, who Kentucky fans should be familiar with.

1942 Miss America didn't attend college. 1971 was a TCU graduate and 1975 was a North Texas graduate.

Texas -- 9 (1977, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1995, 2001, 2008)

1977 - Kimberly Tomes: Texas A&M
1985 - Laura Harring: Algion College, Switzerland
1986 - Christy Fichtner: SMU
1987 - Michelle Royer: Texas Weslyan
1988 - Courtney Gibbs: Couldn't find
1989 - Gretchen Polhemus: Couldn't find
1995 - Chelsi Smith: San Jacinto College
2001 - Kandace Krueger: Texas A&M
2008 - Crystle Stewart: University of Houston

A&M had TWO Miss USA winners (maybe more if we include those not from Texas)
