Nobody in the state of Arkansas wanted to win that game more than ole Bobby P. He circled that game and gave us a heck of a fight.

Would Bama have fired Petrino?

REC would have swept that under the rug with the quickness. Probably buy the girlfriend a house to shut her up.

they would have beaten Alabama in 2010, and auburn which they should have beaten that year. it has always been an issue with petrino teams. He can get a 2 deep in certain areas, but not across the board. the man is a hell of a coach, but he was EXTREMELY lucky the hogs turned the ball over so much, and came out flat.

If Petrino wasn't such an arse to everyone then they would have cut him some slack. A lot of people in Arkansas didn't like Petrino and when he was in trouble, no one came to his aid. Petrino was only good for winning and if that stopped, he would be fired and no second chances given unlike some coaches in the past at Arkansas.

I lived in Arkansas at the time. Every person I know or heard that had personally met him, hated him.

If he had the personality of Sam it would be easier for people to be more forgiving. At the time before he was fired, the national media thought he would be suspended but not fired. When it happened it was a shock. But getting stories from fans who were close and I can understand why he was fired.

Petrino didn't have an off switch. He was coach 24/7 and he was a nerd of the game. But that eventually bit him in the arse because when you are the coach, you need to make as many friends that you can get. That was the problem with Petrino and that is why he isn't here anymore.

Arkansas couldn't beat Bama because they couldn't run the ball and Knile Davis I believe wasn't completely healthy.

Auburn was guaranteed a victory when Ryan Mallet was knocked out early in the game.

He was also extremely arrogant. I am huge fan of Aranda but I’m hesitant to want him as Alabama’s next coach because he is a football nerd that just wants to coach and doesn’t seem like he wants to partake in the bureaucratic/political game. Even if it is required to be at the top of the game. Petrino didn’t care about recruiting or playing the political games

What is your problem with Arkansas?
I don't even know why Arkansas is hated on here by so many. If you love us that much why don't you just admit that you love us.
