If OSU's RB had gained one more inch, does UGA miss the playoffs?

Oklahoma State's RB fell just shy of scoring the go-ahead TD at the end of the Big 12 Championship Game. If he had been about an inch taller the Cowboys would have won their conference and had only one loss on the year. Obviously they would have made it into the playoffs, and Michigan and Alabama would have been locks too, so either UGA or Cincinnati would have been left out. Who do you think it would have been? I honestly think UGA gets left out in that scenario.

Funny how these sorts of questions always seem to come back to Oklahoma State needing about an inch. In 2011 they missed a FG against Iowa State by what appeared to be about that same margin, which allowed Bama to get into the BCS NCG.

Nope. Georgia would not have missed with a loss in the SECCG if Okie St won theirs. Cincy would have been left out. /thread

You should talk about the Auburn running back not going out of bounds.

It’d be close

Hilariously, in the concourse before the game, Bama fans loudly cheered when Oklahoma State lost. But it arguably hurt Bama in the end

And imagine for one second that your aunt had nuts... she’d be your uncle. But she isn’t, just like Bama isn’t the national champion and UGA is.

A more interesting question is if Georgia had beaten Bama in the SECCG. How completely outmatched would the other 3 team in the playoffs had been? Would have been the first time there weren't at least 2 NC caliber teams in the playoffs.

If Auburn running back had not run out of bounds and stopped the clock does Bama get to the SEC championship game?

More lying from Georgia fans. Compare resumes and stop lying if you say you would not have sweated bullets.

Cincy was a Conference Champ, undefeated with a win over a Top Ten and a Top 25 team.

Georgias best win was against a team that barely checked into the Top 20 and they had just gotten convincingly beaten by the first real test they'd faced all year.

Given the pressure to put a team like Cincinnati in, UGA very well could have sat home and Georgia fans know it.

BS. Anyone can check my post history and I was talking about this well before the game was played. Indeed I was telling UGA people if they lost the SECCG they could get left out.

It was your year. One yard and two injuries. Admit it you got the breaks, they won't take the trophy back.

It's the UGA's that are melting. Because they know I am right and being the arrogant wanna be jort wearers they are, it's killing them.

You won. The breaks went your way for a change hell you were due. Close, but this time you actually get the cigar.
