This is using end of season polls...aka, the ones that matter.

Is beating USCw this year an accomplishment too?

So if you're the team that beats them and makes them fall out of the top 25 you should be penalized for that?

Murray and McCarron have the same record against "top" teams this year and frankly neither of them played well in those games.

Why are you considering a win as penalized?

And if a team's resumé at the end of the year shows they were overrated at any point throughout the season...then so be it.

I missed the part where I said anything about Mettenberger.

I'm not but y'all are. You're saying he has 1 win over a top 25 team when in fact he has beaten 3 teams when at the time they played, had a number next to their team on the scoreboard.

Probably kill first, then rape our dead carcasses.

Yeah an actual top 25 team...not a team with an arbitrary number beside them because someone thought they would perform better than they actually did.

1-8 (I was mistaken in giving him 2 more losses)...that is all.
0-3 in 2010 (Auburn, Arkansas, USCe)
0-4 in 2011 (Boise, USCe, LSU, Mich St)
1-1 in 2012 (UF win, USCe loss)

If the numbers are arbitrary then why do we have them at all? Why is it even a criticism of him if they are seemingly meaningless?

They only become arbitrary once the latest ones come out...and I don't know why we have them tbh. Pro sports don't use them.

I assume we have them because the media thinks they are necessary.

depends, can Georgia's OL get some knock off in the run game and dictate simplified cover 3/man free looks giving Murray easy quick game throws like lsu had or will bama be able to consistently dominate the front allowing them to mix coverages and stunts? to me that is the more appropriate question. Murray is accurate enough and intelligent enough to slice and dice it the run game is respected. He'll have a much more difficult time of it if the run game is non-existent like it was last year in the seccg.

Murray tends to choke in these type of games
