re: If LSU isn’t ranked so far below Kentucky because of SOS, then what is it?

I like that theory. Not sure how Villanova is up there though if that’s the system. Guess I need to do more research

Tennessee finished 12th in 2015-2016 (finished 10th the year prior), and got Wisconsin, Oregon (final 4), North Carolina (National Champions), and Gonzaga (final 4, National Runner-up) to play OOC the following year.

LSU should have no issue getting a very formidable OOC slate next year.

Like I said above. It’s about who our coach was when we were struggling. Johnny MF Jones

And yes I think we should get a pretty good OOC slate next year. Hoping for more than just Florida state at least lol

With the way Will Wade has things going, I would be shocked if he couldn't manage a home and home with a Kansas/Duke/UNC/Gonzaga/Michigan/Michigan State echelon school, as well as a neutral site or two.

Obviously it helps when you have a state of the art facility (TBA is arguably the nicest college arena in the country, PMAC lags behind pretty significantly to the elite facilities imo).

No arguments from me that the PMAC needs an update. I sure hope WW can get a good OOC schedule so we don’t have to worry about our ranking taking a hit because of OOC SOS next year

Bottom line, the only UK starter who would start for LSU is PJ Washington. LSU is better.

Duke doesn't go on the road. They only play an OOC road game every 2 years when they are forced to in the B1G/ACC challenge.

LSU strength of schedule =19
UK strength of schedule = 17

So, what is it Because having a 2 better SOS ain’t a reason that UK is a projected 1 seed while LSU are a projected 4 seed by the AP poll, with the same overall record, a worse conference record, and a head to head loss

Oklahoma State is horrid

You know, I was looking up their roster because I figured there was definitely more than 1. LSU’s starters are currently
Waters (Obviously not)
Reid (obviously not)
KBW (obviously not)
Smart( probably not)
Mays (maybe)

I guess maybe Washington would replace KBW but honestly I don’t know. MAYBE Herro would start over Mays.

Because you're LSU. You are the Maryland of basketball. No one gives a shite about that program.

That's a big understatement. Worst arena I've been to in the SEC.

Good to acknowledge it, but you still ask the question why LSU is ranked lower. Losing to a wretched Oklahoma State team is going to carry a lot of weight for the rest of the season, no matter what LSU does. Oklahoma State is that bad.

The best player in SEC league play MIGHT start over the 3rd or 4th best player on LSU’s team.

It’s late in the day so this is obviously the dumbest thing I’ll ready today but it might be the dumbest of the week or month too.
