If he's worrying about planting on that leg instead of focusing on security, it's not absurd.

It was just a weird play, who knows?

I'm looking forward to the season starting and shutting these morons up soon enough.

Well, that doesn't change the original statement

Coin flip. Without a few weird plays like that Tua fumble near the goal line and the very odd INT he threw, I think Alabama probably wins that first game.

Both teams were really, really good. Tua was pretty clearly limited in his mobility for that 1st game. At full strength, I think Alabama had the edge personnel wise in a few key spots and their defense was objectively better, but Burrow had about a magical season as anyone could imagine and a hot QB can cover up a lot of gaps.

I trust Burrow to be more mistake free then a banged up Tua in a imaginary rematch late that season, so I’d probably pick LSU.

2020 Alabama beats both teams though most games though as they played much cleaner ball under Mac Jones then Tua and still have the personal edge on LSU

You somehow turned almost always winning 11 games into a negative.

I mean if you take away Alabama's "weird plays" then you have to take away LSU's as well.

What? He was running around all over the field.

Bama would have been more likely to lose by 50 with the way LSU was playing at the end of the year than they would to win the rematch.

LSU probably wins by 3 possessions, just like they did against Clemson.

Are we gonna ignore the fact that LSU peaked towards the playoffs and were playing there best around that time? The way LSU played Texas AM through Clemson was off the charts.

I think Alabama loses by more in the rematch tbh.

Didn’t Alabama lose like 44-16 to a similar Clemson team as well?

Alabama was lucky to stay in the game. Some serious revisionist history, my friend.

For real. LSU completely dominated Alabama the first half. If it wasn’t for Waddles miraculous punt return it would have been 33-6.

LSU came out a little lackluster which was a problem sometimes (Ole Miss) and let Alabama back in the game but it was never really a game Alabama was in or close to winning.

Yep. Punt return and the Td while Stingley was caught looking at the sidelines and not guarding his WR, were both flukes. Even with those, they got their arse beat.

Going away - way too much fire power on O for the Tide to handle - greatest team ever
