He hasn’t come close to making Pine Box statements.

Not really. Pretty much every ole piss poster here predicted him being around for a little bit when he was first hired. Tuberville was much worse. Now he’s their senator

Not necessarily, but what are the optics of dragging the reporter that broke the Kiffin to Auburn story through the mud on Twitter, just to verify his claims by going to Auburn a few days later? Kiffin’s Twitter rant does cast some doubt over whether or not he’s leaving.

FWIW, I still think he’s going to Auburn. If that’s the case, last night was one final twist of the dagger before Kiffin kisses us gently on the lips while we succumb to the poisoned apple we just ate

Nah, he gone. Whether it be today or next year. He has no long term plan at Ole Miss.

This is why I won't be that upset if he actually does go to Auburn. Huge red flag by doing that.

If Lane and Leach(illness) both announce their resignation as coaches Friday, who would Ole Miss be looking to as their next coach and who would State look to?

My sources say that State is already in talks with Saban and Ole Miss with Bill Clark.

Sources say Ole Miss will hire Hugh Freeze and State will hire Dan Mullen. Time to reignite the old flame

Kiffin doesn’t care about optics did you see how he left Tennessee?

Can someone remind me of the pine box statement? I can't remember who said it and where?

After the 1998 regular season ended, Tuberville said, "They'll have to carry me out of here in a pine box", in reference to not leaving to coach at another school. Less than a week later, it was announced that he was departing for Auburn.

He is 47 and he was 34 then. I think he is more aware of how to handle things now than he was then, but also with the current transfer rules, the old adage of trying to make coaches feel guilty for jumping to another place is a hard argument to make. Also a school will axe a head coach in a half second when they are losing so it is hard to blame coaches for moving on when they are winning.

That said I hope Kiffin stays at Ole Miss, as I am not a big fan of coaches moving around.

That would be a trip.

I always thought it funny that Vince Dooley was an Auburn alum and Pat Dye was a Georgia alum.
