How many GMs would take this from their #1 draft pick:
Career highlights and awards
NFL Most Valuable Player (2015)
NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2015)
NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (2011)
First-team All-Pro (2015)
3× Pro Bowl (2011, 2013, 2015)
Bert Bell Award (2015)

How many QBs drafted would take a team last in the NFL to the playoffs in two years?

Running QBs don’t last long in the league. Plus Cam was physical runner, so he took even more hits

His legs are fine and he injured his shoulder on a routine play.

The older QBs get, the less they can rely on their legs is one point. The other point is, he’s still getting hit on those running plays. Not sure why you think only legs can get hurt if he gets hit on a run.

Yes I know his shoulder injury happened on a regular play but the older you get, the less hits you can take and stay healthy. QBs already take quite a few hits just by being in the backfield. Now you add in running plays, it’s going to lead to a more beaten up body and more concussions. I doubt he could’ve continued to play well into his mid 30s.

He never had a real NFL WR or a decent OL. Throw in Shula and it is amazing that he got them to the SB.

So I guess you also don’t care about what NFL GM’s/scouts, or analyst say. I never heard last year that Burrow was a generational QB. They said last year that most would still pick Lawerence over Burrow. The Jags would pick Lawerence over Burrow if they both came out at the same time.Lawrence is the better prospect no matter who finished stronger. And I’ll give you Cam, when you say they carried the team. With how many players got drafted from LSU 2019 ( Tying a record) not even counting those who sat out who are getting drafted this year, Burrow didn’t carry that entire team. If you think he did, then the same could be said for Lawerence, except he got his team to the CFP every year he started in College football. I can’t say the same for Burrow.

Not everyone believed that.

Not only is Joe Burrow the presumptive No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, but the quarterback could also be a generational prospect for the Cincinnati Bengals.
According to Mike Sando of The Athletic, an offensive coordinator called Burrow a "once-in-a-decade prospect who is ahead of where Andrew Luck was coming out of Stanford based on the offensive style LSU played."

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, who originally called Luck the "perfect prospect" in 2011, also sees Burrow as the next in line:

One historic season and a head-to-head win over Lawrence later, and Joe Burrow is the superior NFL prospect, according to Mel Kiper Jr. The ESPN draft guru appeared on the Rich Eisen Show on Thursday, saying he would rank Burrow ahead of Lawrence if the Clemson quarterback were eligible for the 2020 draft.

I think you're literally one of the dumbest posters here.

I picked one random season (2013) and took a look.

Cam had DeAngelo Williams and Johnathan Stewart at running back.

Brandon LaFell, Ted Ginn Jr., and Steve Smith at receiver plus Greg Olsen at tight end.

Oh yeah, and PFF ranked their offensive line at 7th in the NFL.

ETA: They had a tackle, center, and fullback named to the Pro Bowl that season.

GM's perspectives on Burrow vs Lawrence could be a wash perhaps, but Lawrence is getting a lot of cred for taking Clemson to the playoffs 3 straight yrs. Put him in the SEC West for those 3 yrs, as well as having to play UGA in Atlanta 3 straight yrs....does he make the playoffs 3 straight? Cam or Burrow in the ACC, their records?

You dumbass, all those players you listed were average at best. None of them did much the rest of their careers. It was well acknowledged that the WR Corp was one of the worst in the NFL. Then they wasted a number one pick on Benjamin, who was a flop. Olsen was the only real threat and he had injuries. Again. You are better off just keeping your ignorant research to yourself.
