If it meant keeping Bama out of the CFP and avoiding a rematch...

Assuming LSU gets in regardless as either #1 or #3-4, would Tiger fans take a loss in the SEC title game?

I imagine even the thought of potentially repeating the 2011 scenario gives them night sweats.

Nah, I don't want an immediate matchup with tOSU. Would rather carve up bama and let our backups play the 4th quarter to rest up for the championship game

That would be interesting,if it's
LSU loses, plays Georgia again, LSU wins, plays Bama again.
But, too much going on to know for certain that situation would arise.
I'm quite certain LSU will try to win the SECCG

Of course they will, I’m asking from the fan perspective.

Because repeating 2011 would be terminal to their fanbase. They can’t ensure that again and maintain their football sanity.

Nah, Alabama wouldn’t be nearly as lucky the 2nd time around. Would probably lose by 20+

Alabama does not have the secondary to compete with LSU this year. Out of Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson give me bama in round one. Nah frick that, give me Bama in the natty- it’ll be the same outcome as Saturday except we won’t give them a garbage time touchdown

I wouldn’t bet on Saban losing twice to one team in the same season.

Odds wise, UGA is a far better draw than Bama for LSU (and any other school) both in the SECCG and in the playoff.

That said, it would be immensely satisfying to see Burrow light up Bama again. But odds wise, Bama is the most difficult team to beat twice in one season.

At least this time there would be reason to believe the offense can move the ball and score at will. The bigger fear this time would be the defense doing their part.

Honestly, I'm not sure America could handle a rematch this year.

The best scenario possible would be that LSU scores 40 or more in all remaining games, winning convincingly and having a storybook season that will be long remembered and celebrated. A statue of Big Dick Burrow will tower over Mike The Tiger's lair.

Alabama had a better chance of getting blown out of their own stadium than they had of beating LSU. Deal with it.

It’s not up to him. He doesn’t have the players to stop our offense. He even said so. “They have no weaknesses on offense”.

You also probably wouldn't have bet Nick Saban would ever get out-coached by Orgeron

I'd bet Joe Brady would make Bama's defense look even worse the second time around

In 2011 I didn’t want to play Bama again because o knew they would have the motivation factor in a 50/50 matchup . I think if we play Bama again now, after this win to get the monkey off our backs it’s more like Georgia in 2003. Close game first ... then blow out in sec championship We beat the brakes off Bama the second time
