If I were the PAC12 right now

I would have already begged for Texas Tech TCU and Baylor to come join my league ... they all have solid enough all round sports programs. And even though not the big dogs of Texas, having your brand in Texas is more important. And getting your games out of that pacific time zone

Baylor and TCU bring jack and squat to the Pac. They'd be better off adding Houston and Hawaii.

I don't see the pillow biters in the PAC12 being ok with BYU's LGBTQWTFBBQ stance.
Supposedly that's been a hang up on them joining the PAC12 in the past.

If the PAC wanted to expand, they would have the pick of the litter on the west coast.
The ACC is the one who should be worried. They are already surrounded by the B1G and the SEC. If they want to expand, they will need to pull somebody out of those conferences.............or go way to their west.

I think TV Market is way overrated ... otherwise Buffalo would be in the Big10.

if they want to expand and bring in a team with a national brand and national following its BYU...

TTU/OSU/Baylor/Houston are all great choices. The PAC will need to understand where they stand and take these schools. The rest will need to merge with the ACC and create a next tier conference with Boise and BYU. That would be five legit leagues. The mountain states can't compete.

16 isn’t magical and the Big 12 is done as a major conference either way. I could see the SEC and the ACC being ESPN’s two super conferences and the PAC and B1G staying put or adding a single program.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing the Big 12 expand if OU and TU leave with Houston, Boise, BYU, and make a power move and invite Arizona and Arizona State and Nebraska...talk about shaking things up...
