What's up with the Alabama/Auburn comment? What happened with FSU and those teams?

The entire state of FL is already SEC territory and FSU does not fill up their stadium even when they're good.
they will if they join the SEC, it will legitimize them. in the SEC, even Mississippi State fills up their stadium.

It would be like the Big 12 saying, "You expanded into our prime recruiting area in Texas, now we're expanding into your prime recruiting area of Florida."
No big 12 school will get kids Bama or LSU wants.

If FSU has any significant market share of the state of FL (outside Tallahassee), I have no idea where it is.
Seems they just don't have that many fans.

I think the bigger loss is having the ACC being a stronger conference than Big 12. I want the Orange Bowl to be our Rose Bowl. We can't ignore the sway that the B1G and the Pac 12 have, and diminishing what they have in the rose bowl by creating something greater, we need the ACC.
Iunno that's what I would ideally like to see.

17 straight sellouts and expanding after the season

I disagree a bit. Sure it will help some but the only time those women fill their stadium is when we are there, Miami is there or if they happen to be very highly ranked for a couple of years in a row.
You should hear them now. They are filled with apathy after their 2nd loss of each season.

When it comes down to it, I hate the Big 12. I wish for its collapse. I want teams like Texas to feel left out (though that isn't reality) and beg to be accepted into a major conference.
Though that probably isn't reality, the Pac 12 did flip Texas the middle finger last year. I was surprised by that.

Would it be a lost opportunity for the SEC?
Yes and no.
Because Florida State had a SEC invite in the early 90s and turned us down.
But as I said, if I were king, I'd make Florida State an offer. I think they fit perfectly in the SEC and Florida has 19 million people and I don't buy the argument that all of them are Gator fans.
If we were to add another team to the SEC, who would be better than Florida State? Oklahoma is about all I can think of. Maybe Virginia Tech. Georgia Tech had their ride in the SEC. Clemson is a possibility but South Carolina is a small state and we already have the Cocks. Population wise and location wise, Florida State is very well positioned. 4th largest state in the country. Lock up all the wanna be Gumps in the Panhandle.

If you mean prison, yes.
If you mean FSU to the SEC, no.
I don't want to help them. I'm really enjoying their suffering right now.

I see more Bama and UGA fans here than FSU.

If the SEC isn't interested in adding schools from existing member States, who could be the next two schools in future expansion?
Which has probably been answered as many times as there have been threads on this issue (no disrespect to you personally). VT and NCST are the most likely but probably you have to get UVA and UNC into the B1G first (neither of them are interested in the SEC). Duke is unlikely and Wake is Baylor East.

Yeah, but State's stadium seats nearly 30k less than Florida State's stadium.

Order of First Coast fans by numbers:
UF
FSU
UG
the rest (although the Gumps do come out of the wood work like a mofo when they don't suck)
I liked it better when they were all ashamed of wearing dark pink t-shirts all the damn time.

Is Jacksonville considered the Panhandle?

Wake is more like Vandy lite... to good of a school to compare to Baylor

But you guys are already family, and I just do not get that vibe from Florida State. I think get a school who would want to be in the SEC for the right reasons like Virginia Tech.

I'm talking FL in general. I travel all over FL for my job, including the pan handle. They just don't have that many fans.
