For him to win immediately?
Personally I think it would be an incredible move and hate the thought of LSU having to play him and Saban every year.
But are the peices in place to win right away or will he have to rebuild the mess that Muschamp and McElwain left?

Not even Saban won his first year at Bama. So no.

Ha, typo or Freudian slip.
But edited.

Well, he'd get to a bowl game in year 1, for sure.
There's no doubt he'd have the defense playing much better in year 1.
Trick would be the Oline. If he can do something about it so that he can consistently pick up 3rd and short, then he'd start crushing people. No way that gets done in year 1. But, in year 2 maybe.
I think year 3 and beyond he'd be a legit threat to win everything.
If he can steal a game in year 1, he'll be in Atlanta. In year 2, almost a certainty. Kirby Dumb wants no part of Kelly.

No we have to find a QB. We also need Linebackers and Offensive Tackles, not really positions you can fix immediately, it's gonna take a couple years. I'm not sure Chip is coming though.

I'm not sold on Chip Kelly. Maybe he can prove me wrong. But tempo spread was unheard of when he was at Oregon... It's heard of now. And it hasn't proven to be consistent against SEC defenses.

It will take him atleast 3 years to win a championship if he does. He will need to get his own QB and improve the depth on defense to handle being on the field all the time .

I think of chip went to uf, he'd struggle the first two years. It'll be a drastic change in offensive philosophy. Getting the right QB and o linemen will be critical. But it'll be interesting to see what he could do at a school with actual in-state talent. Oregon always had low rated recruiting class.

Somewhat but not win the SEC big.
QB - He will be fine if Corral stays. Chip can use Toney or Franks already way better than the shite we had before.
RB - Davis is a stud
Oline - Ehh...needs a bit of work there.
WR - Lots of talent. Be nice to see it used. However his system needs down field blocking. So not sure how Hammond and Cleveland are in that area. As Meyer said...'you has the best blocking wide outs I've ever seen".
DT - needs major help
DE - Good position
LB - Complete shite
S - Harris comes back...it's a good position
CB - Rock solid
So..we need a year to develop depth, but he can win 8-10 games possibly with the current roster.
Second year is like most coaches, his proving year. A coach as good as Kelly doesn't need 4 to build a program like Florida back.

Yes...and Meyer's spread won't work in the mighty SEC either

He will be at UCLA next year.

Kelley's system requires a different kind of athlete than what Florida has ever recruited. Several of the current roster might adapt easily and flourish but the majority would struggle. It would probably take him 3 years to reach SEC championship level.

How come the last 3 were bad and did not fix it in short time?

Not really..his offense requires pretty much exactly what Meyer's and Mullen's does. It's why Meyer and Kelly are butt buddies.

Well, the other 3 coaches struggled might be just what you are saying but there maybe more to it like injuries or too many top teams to beat most of them. At a place like Oregon might not be a problem where Chip got it going. Do not forget there were blowouts lost when Oregon faced SEC teams when he was coach there. So might not work right away and might struggled and then it will blow up just like the last coach.

Why did Saban win 1 in the NFL?
Comparing college coaching and pro is idiotic. Carroll, Saban, Spurrier all failed massively their first coaching run before coming back to college.
He did better at Philly than all three. So should I think he is better than Saban? His first four college years as a HC were better than Saban's too at Michigan State. Yet doesn't make him better at Saban as a coach at Florida. Because pro means nothing in college.
I'm assuming that's what you mean. Seemed a bit unclear. If you meant Florida's last 3 years..we did fix it. we fired the coach. If you meant Chip's last three..well has zero to do with college football.
