If conference goes to 16 teams, should we invite Tulane and GT back?

GT walked out on us for no other reason than greed. They don't get a second chance.

Im sure most HCs in the conf would rather not play GT every year as long as Coach PJ is there

I'd take both back if the SEC gets turned down by Texas or Oklahoma or Oklahoma State. I'd like to see GA Tech back in the SEC in a way. I don't care for Tulane back in the SEC unless you want to have a beatable team in the SEC West to sort of schedule a break for the power teams.

I really don't get this Oklahoma obsession on this board.

Maybe because you guys are relatively close to them?

Wonder if we polled who was negative about them, if it would be an East/West division.

Not sure what Mizzou would think about adding them, it might be interesting for them if they were put in the West.

But I'm not too sure what Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Vandy, Kentucky, even the two Alabama would think of this.

Personally if it were to go to 16, I (and I pull for South Carolina) would like a North Carolina and Virginia team.

This. Tulane will never have the budget to contribute and GT does not fit either.

What is the benefit to 16 teams? The more you add, the more you need a conference tournament to determine a true champ. There would be a much bigger discrepancy between the easiest and hardest schedule than with 12 or 14. I think that's too bad already with 14.

Makes more sense to bring Sewanee back. Just imagine that Sewanee TV market bump.

We should contract back to 12. We got the tv markets, no reason to keep fads and swju around anymore. Time to erase Slive's mistake.

I think 16 is too much and 14 seems too much at times. However, I tend to think in the next 10 to 20 years...there would a possibility of super conferences forming.

We should never consider going to 16 teams. I think that we should retract and get rid of TAMU and Mizzou.

Expansion isn't about teams, it's about territory. How do people not know this?

the wac was a 16 team conference once and folks described it as a scheduling nightmare as the saying goes be careful what you wish for. that said

UCF - yes I think UCF would be an interesting addition
NC State

Well, if that's the case, then why not completely consolidate the TV markets in states instead of splitting them in half with the ACC and Big XII?

In other words, add Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, or Texas.
