If both UGA & Bama had been undefeated going into the SEC Championship…

…would the loser have been left out of the playoffs?
As it were, UGA was already in and Bama had a must win.
Hypothetically, if an undefeated Bama had blistered an undefeated UGA - or vice versa - would both teams still have made it in?
I don’t think so.
UGA owes tamu a beer. A warm embrace would probably be the tamu preference.

Which team would’ve replaced the loser in the playoffs? 1 loss Notre dame with zero ranked wins? 2 loss Baylor or OSU?

An unquestionable #1 vs #2 matchup of 12-0 teams?
Both would've still made it.
Both would've still made it.

Would have played out exactly the same.

You jest and troll but this is absolutely correct. And Bama could have easily have won that game against A&M too except for bad playcalling.

WTF kind of terrible take is this? No matter which way it played out it would have unquestionably strengthened the case of the loser to still get in.

Without a doubt. Better question is whether Alabama would have gotten in with SECCG loss considering OK State losing unexpectedly

If both teams are undefeated going into SEC Championship, UGA is probably still 1 considering Bama had more close games against their similar comp. Either way you're still probably getting the same match ups in the playoffs.

Both would be in based on the SECs reputation. That is the problem the rest of the P5 will face in the future. That is why they are pushing for automatic qualifiers for the playoffs.

What the hell is even this sh!t? ^^^^
Could this be a Bama fan living in the fantasy land of 'What If' Georgia hadn't actually kicked their @ss in the National Championship game?
If so, this is quite the gift and I thank you.
