Wonder if all these Tide fans would be calling for a rematch if Alabama would've won the game?
I don't think so.

I was thinking during the game that these were the best two teams in the country. If UA had won, I would probably say that LSU is 2nd best team in college football this year.

They would be saying the same thing as LSU fans. That these are probably the two best teams, but they had their chance and lost.

If LSU had lost they'd be wanting a rematch as well.

Don't be stupid.

Honestly whatever happens, happens. If a rematch were to happen so be it. If we get Boise State in the Sugar Bowl then that's what we get. We played our hand (poorly IMO) and it's time to deal with the consequences of losing that hand. There's still more games to be played.

I would. We need the best two proven teams playing for the NC. No matter of who.

The only way there could have even possibly been a rematch is if the home team would have squeaked out a controversial win. LSU is the better team and there's no doubt about that. If you can't win in your own stadium you don't deserve a rematch.

No, if LSU lost I would be fine with no rematch. I was against a rematch in 2006 as well, it makes regular season games meaningless and it's not fair to the winner. Why should you have to beat a team twice to win the NC? When all they have to do is beat you once?

Either way, there aint shite we can do about it. If we need to beat Bama twice to prove we're a better team, then bring it.

Wonder what LSU fans will be saying if Arky beats them and Bama jumps them in the BCS?

Or if Arky jumps them as well.

I think it is unfair to have to play a team a second time that you already beat during the regular season. I do think that Bama is the number 2 team in the country. I'll be honest and say that I want NO part of them again! That being said,if LSU had lost, I would be arguing for a rematch. I would also know the entire time I was arguing for it, that it was unfair to Bama and shouldn't happen. What can I say? I am a homer! The fact is, LSU and Bama both had their chance. Bama had the advantage with the game being in their house and they couldn't pull off a win. LSU won. No rematch, no second chance.

I hope we don't have a rematch so Bama and LSU can wreck whatever team they play in postseason and these west coasters can appreciate how good Sat night's game was.

So you won't mind then if your D happens to get be by Arky for Arky and Bama to jump LSU in the BCS ranking, right?

What?
If LSU gets by Arky by, let's say 3 points, and manages to win, LSU would remain #1 in the BCS. Still trying to understand ur post.

If alabama had won I'd be spouting the same talking points the bama fans are re. a rematch except I'd be adding that we lost on the road.

I admitted before the game that my opinion on the rematch would be 100% determined by the winner of the game.

LSU is lightyears better on special teams. That was the only relative certainty entering the game, and its the only certainty now.

I prefer my National Championship parties in NOLA to be stress free...so I'd rather not play bama again.
