Why not all P5 go to a 9 game conference schedule and then only play P5 opponents from another conference on a rotating home and home?

It would kill G5 and FCS but it would make for much better football all the way around... The problem now is FBS has too many teams, period...

When you have split Divisions and an even number of Teams it is tons easier to go with a 10 game sked and rotate from the other Division than to do 9

You play the 6 Teams in your Division and rotate 4 cross Division Teams each yr, the Math works out much easier than a goofy number like 9 Conf Games, plus it'll allow traditional rivalries to be maintained

Give the ADs as little wiggle room as possible is my philosophy, let the ADs control scheduling for 2 games and that's it

9 is better than 8, but even numbers of Conf Games like 10 works out much easier

Saban and Bama are all for it....what has been LSU's AD's opinion or the rest of the SEC for that matter?

Spoiler: they haven't supported what Nick and Bama have been calling for years

Uh you must be new. The only reason we still have permanent cross division games is because Bama got all huffy and puffy about Tennessee when every one else around the conference was ready to change it. Must have been a coincidence that it was right after a couple of bad Tenn seasons and Fulmer was on his way out.

bullshite. LSU has played Washington, North Carolina, Oregon, TCU, Wisconsin and Texas off the top of my head. We have Texas, UCLA, Clemson and Florida State in the future.

No way is UGA going to 10 SEC games + 1 against the GnaTs...leaving us only 1 to freely schedule!

Only if Nick Saban wanted it to be revisited.

he quits this year, so his input has less value
