If Alabama goes 11-1 but misses the playoff, are permanent opponents revisited?

Under such a scenario the Tennessee and Duke games will have been the deciding factors in leaving Bama out. They have better OOC games coming up, it does the league office look to diversify the rotation an it more so Alabama has better resume in future years?

Only if Nick Saban wanted it to be revisited.

Playing Kentucky, Vandy, South Carolina, and Missouri more often and Tennessee less often doesn't help our resume.

The answer is a nine game schedule with two rotating opponents that you played 2 out of every 5 years, just like it used to be.

If that happens, and I expect it to ... the CFP committee is going to look at expanding the field.

He does...he has called for it to be revisited....he has been on the record for years about increasing the number of conference games at a minimum and preferably P5 teams playing nothing but P5 teams.

Saban and Bama are all for it....what has been LSU's AD's opinion or the rest of the SEC for that matter?

Spoiler: they haven't supported what Nick and Bama have been calling for years.

No.

Have you looked at Alabama's future schedule?

You are playing Western Carolina from the FCS this year. And they are currently 3-7 in the FCS.

Bama's non-conference schedule this year might be the worst in P5.

I mean, it is really, really bad:

Duke (4-5)
New Mexico State (0-9)
Southern Miss (6-3)
Western Carolina (3-7 IN FCS!)

So wait, first everyone on here was complaining that we play UT every year, but now you guys want us to play UT every year for the forseeable future, so it hurts our schedule strength? And if that were to actually change, then its another REC conspiracy? Wow, just trying to keep up here.

You honestly think an 11-1 Bama team misses the playoffs?

Man, I love you guys' confidence, but I honestly think that there is a great chance that an 11-1 Bama team misses the playoffs.

How the current system is setup is perfect for Bama. No way they are left out.

Who are they gonna get out of the east that doesn't suck?

Or is this the lever to realign the east/west?

When their signature win is Aubbie, after kirby romps Gus?

Less day games for Alabama is the obvious answer.

Well if they are so anxious to see it happen, why haven't they taken it upon themselves to start that trend?

And who’s going to jump Bama? The PAC 12 champ? After Oregon lost to that same auburn team?
