If Alabama beats Auburn, is it because Saban isn't coaching?

If only he had a cell phone and could communicate with his staff live.

I have no doubt he will do that...........even though it's against the rules.

I think Saban being out is a major advantage for Auburn. It’s about presence and sideline energy. It’s a totally different feel

This game is going to come down to the wire. Auburn’s offense is really clicking lately. It’s gonna be a challenge.

Probably will be because Bama is a lot better and should win. Just like most years

Even though Bama loses that game too often

Has he never beaten them before or something? Game is in BDS and Bama is going to beat the frick out of Auburn. Just because they beat a historically bad LSU team doesn't mean anything at all. They lost to South Carolina. SOUTH CAROLINA.

Bama loses to a lot of ranked Auburn teams, even when they shouldn’t. I’m not saying Auburn will win. But I understand why fans are wary

I'm not going to edit every little detail of a posted thread.. I know what I typed was right, regardless of what autocorrect decides should be there .

So, I will happily email you a page of my dissertation and can edit that for me. If you're so capable!

I didn't know that. Seems like an odd rule to me. But nevermind that. Are some of you guys still wanting AU to lose in the hopes of replacing Gus, or is it different because of a rivalry game?

You haven't been paying attention then. When he had the false/positive, there was talk he would call the game from a suite. A rule was posted that you must be on the sideline or in the booth to call a game.....those are the only two options.

Again, you aren't paying attention. It will cost roughly $30M to get rid of Gus this year. He isn't going anywhere win, lose, or draw.

True, I haven't really had much time for football this year or this board. Nevermind. I'll ask another Aubie. A better one

Most Auburn fans want him gone. It's just not feasible at the moment. Gus' buyout is $21.5M on Dec. 1. The rest of the staff has buyouts. The HC you want to bring in will have a buyout. You will have to pay the new HC several M a year. Then you have to pay the rest of the staff their salary.

Again, just for gus and the staffs buyout, plus the buyout of the new HC, you are looking at $30M.................that's before the rest of the new staff is assembled.

We are stuck with Gus until at least the end of next season.

Luckily for Bama, Auburn isn't winning 9 games this year so it's a forgone conclusion Alabama will win the IB with or without Saban.

Whether or not Alabama wins will be determined by Pete Golding. In other words, Alabama will not win this game.
