What do you do with a 1 loss Bama? Do they still get in?

I could argue that a 2 loss conference winner that lost one of the two games OOC speaks to the quality of the conference which shouldn't then warrant 2 teams getting in. But then that Auburn loss was to Clemson.

I have no idea. That will be a very sticky situation. I believe it will work itself out by then though

This means we lose to Auburn. In that scenario, we have at best 2 Top 25 wins (9-3 LSU and 9-3 MSU). We don't have a conference title.

Auburn - in
Oklahoma - in
Clemson/Miami (at 0/1 loss) - in

At that point I dunno. I don't think we do. Maybe if we lose another Kick 6 type game or some sort of 26-23 dead even struggle. But even then, I dunno.

SB Nation bowl projections

Playoffs:
Sugar (New Orleans): No. 1 Miami vs. No. 4 Ohio State
Rose (Pasadena, CA): No. 2 Oklahoma vs. No. 3 Auburn

NY6:

Peach (Atlanta): UCF vs. Penn State
Orange (Miami): Clemson vs. Wisconsin
Fiesta (Glendale, AZ): USC vs. Georgia
Cotton (Arlington, TX): Notre Dame vs. Alabama

Auburn not getting in unless OU has a breakdown.

And Wisky, assuming they win out.

I just don’t think the committee will vote in 2 SEC teams, no matter how deserving the second is...

People love talking about how Alabama isn't penalized, but LOL at Ohio State.

They have been BLOWN OUT twice. BLOWN OUT. Sure, whatever, they killed Michigan State! And Nebraska!

Agree, but I guess I'm assuming they lose to Ohio State in Indy (which isn't automatic, but if it happens).

I could see that happening.

I’m still shocked at how Ohio State laid that egg against Iowa. That was just astounding.

Think it would all come down to how Wisconsin finishes the season. If Auburn were to win out, they're a lock. Clemson and OU are pretty much locks at this point too.

Of course things get even crazier if Ohio State beats Wisconsin, and it's down to a 2-loss Ohio State B10 Champ against a 1-loss Alabama team. Almost a mirror image of last year, except it was Penn State getting left out over a team they beat.

I agree the nature of the hypothetical loss plays into it. The timing would be bad late in the season but pretty much every other team in the CFP will have a loss at that point. Gets very interesting if Clemson beats Miami.

I would love a no SEC team playoff this year.

IN : SEC Champ (UGA/AU/Bama) (assuming UGA doesn't lose to Tech and then win the SECC)
IN : ACC Champ (Miami/Clemson) (assuming Clemson doesn't lose to South Carolina)
IN : Oklahoma (if they win out)
IN : Wisconsin (if they win out)

I disagree. Clemson is out if they lose to The U.

Yea - and so is Oklahoma if they lose their Big XII rematch title game.

Nobody is a lock right now.

Don't know how, but I forgot all about Miami. Geez they destroyed Notre Dame.

ACC Championship will surely be a good one. Still have to think the winner of that game will be a lock.

Another dilemma is what to do a 1-loss Miami team if they lose a close game to Clemson in the ACC Championship Game.
