Let see:
The Atari was released
The Apple II was released
Elvis died (not a product, but the end of one of the first "music products")
Star Wars (A New Hope) was released

Saturday Night Fever, Rocky,Smokey and the Bandit
A Star Is Born, King Kong( technically released at the very end of 1976 but became a success in 1977, if Bama claims a title for the year they lost their bowl game I'm claiming this),
Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Hills Have Eyes, and Annie Hall were released

The Clash released their first album
Roots was released
GPS was unveiled by the US military
The first MRI machine was sold
Oh and from your list: Cookie Crisp

Do I win something?

I'm sort of sick of the 1980 references myself everyday. Every now and then may not be bad...but we see these references every day. But I do think UGA wins one within the next few years and 1980 will soon become 1998.
