We get to celebrate this all year for Georgia. What a great milestone. It's aging very well.

Is it 2021 already? I know 2020 has been a strange year but I feel like I missed half the year.

It's not just Florida, it's auburn and Tennessee too. Literally the only talking point any of them have over us is a more recent national title, it's the reason those 3 teams go to that well as often as they do.

I say this not as a uga fan but as an impartial observer; Tennessee going 21 years and counting without winning the sec is far more embarrassing than our national title drought.

So not winning the a conference title is far more embarassing than not winning a national title? You cant honestly believe that lol. fricking losers.

Georgia gets the goal posts moved on it more than any other program in the country when it comes to program measuring stick because of the 40 year drought.

Oklahoma hasn’t won a national title in 20 years, Tennessee in 22, Michigan in 23, Notre Dame in 32, or Penn State in 34 but Georgia easily catches more shite than any program despite doing more than arguably all of those teams in at least the last 3 years if not the past 20 (Oklahoma being the exception with more to it’s credit in the past 20 years).

When your program tries to cling to any semblance of being the 2nd best program in the conference all time, yeah a 21 year drought winning the conference is pretty bad. Outside of that context, it’s not terrible but if you’re going to claim to be Bama’s bridesmaid then you should show up for the wedding every now and then.

The other part that adds to this is the huge number of native Georgians at school like Auburn and Tennessee. Definitely ramps up things.

There are two ugly truths Georgia and Auburn fans both don’t like to admit:
The long title drought is more embarrassing than most UGA fans will admit. Losing 12 out of 15 to the school many of them wanted to attend is more embarrassing than most Auburn fans will admit.

Umm, yeah? To win a national title you are competing with 100 other teams and have to get through 13 games plus a conference championship and then play another title game. To win the sec you have to do better than the 5 or 6 other teams in your division then play a title game. You have a 1 in 12 or 14 chance to do that. It's exponentially harder to be the best team in the country than it is to be the best team in your conference. This is pretty elementary level logic.

Given how many SEC teams have won the national title since the advent of the BCS, I’d say winning the SEC can be just as hard some years as winning the national title. The national title seemed like a foregone conclusion for our conference champion for a good little while

For LSU and Bama, sure. Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee haven’t even made the CFP since it began let alone sniff a national title game.

I’ll take shite from Bama and LSU fans because they’re right, both have beat us straight up AND won a title in the past few years. I’ve got nothing to come back with. The rest are sharing the same tired comeback despite Auburn’s most recent title being 10 years ago (after a 53 year drought), Florida’s 11, and Tennessee 22. If all you have is “our trophy is old but yours is older” then I’m going to have a hard time taking you seriously.

I’ll admit I’m tired of going my whole life without seeing the Dawgs win a title. I’m also tired of rival fanbases and national pundits telling me I should just be miserable with myself until Georgia wins one because apparently that’s the only thing that is allowed to matter.

I just mentioned this in another thread but today's incoming college freshman weren't born the last time Tennessee even won the SEC. You think they care ut has a more recent title than uga considering both were before they were alive? It's really nothing more than a message board meme at this point

About what? We know our place and where we stand. I'd say its the fans like op (who surprisingly is not a uga fan..) that constantly go out of their way to say how much we suck are the ones that are insecure.

How's this for for a goal post?

Uga hasn't a football National Championship in 40 years.

Baseball in 30 years.

Basketball never.
Face it, y'all are the kings of underachievers.
