While we appreciate all of you who tuned in last night for the usual highly entertaining Egg Bowl, I feel we let you down.

There was not one fight. Nobody ripped another players helmet off.

Not one single knee to the nuts or a round house kick . Not even one fricking ejection (I was expecting 2). And the coaches seem to like each other.

Please don't give up on us, we will try better next year , I promise. Egg Bowl just went from a normal 10 down to a 9.2.

I had a feeling that OM with a lame duck coach might not really inspire the aggression we’re used to in this.

It was a pretty good game though. We will give you a pass this year for the lack of brawling.

This is an excellent point and one I overlooked. We need to do something about that.

Arguably the best SEC game of the season. I just knew State was going to fumble inside the five. My baws did not let me down

Don’t be too hard on yourself. The MSU fumble on the goal line when they could have put it away was a nice touch.

It's possible that was planned. I think players were mad at themselves that the people watching were disappointed in lack of at least 4 targeting calls. They decided to make it more interesting in giving Ole Miss a chance. I guess it was an ok move all things considered , Thx

Trash thrown on field for call that went against OM. Including an unexplainable ref explanation...

Really good flop on OM OL guy for a 15 yd penalty.

Nice 2 yd line fumble by inept QB runner...

Had few good moments. No dog pee episodes but it was getting there.

Still a great game that went down to the wire.
I am glad there were none of the stupid antics of years past. I can do without that and just enjoy football.

Yep, we can’t stand prosperity and we all knew it was going to come down to the end.
Great play by Charleton to bat down the shovel pass on the two point conversion.

Either way, it was an apt reminder that the Egg Bowl shall not be second-guessed as an American treasure.

There were plenty of memorable moments despite the lack of a brawl:
Dropped passes that would have been touchdowns, lateral pass that was a fumble with mucking up by refs, goal line fumble, 99 yard drive for the chance to tie, double timeouts and failed 2 point conversion, rain, coaching controversy. Not much was missing to make this the most entertaining game of the year from start to finish.

This is not a Moo State thing. You just have that gut feeling. We have seen it happen so many times in rivalry games like this.

I feel somehow that was a putdown.

That is not allowed on an Egg Bowl thread. Explain yourself or apologize
