It looked like the right decision then but that Texas NIL money has to have him second guessing himself.

If Coach Saban did, how many Head Coaches has Texas had since 2013?

Edit to add-

Strong, Herman and Sark, so if he did he could have gone before they hired at least two of them.

Of course. It was the biggest mistake of his professional career. Saban has said as much. He would have won 8 straight titles. Playing more conference games in a deeper conference means more national respect. NS screwed up and knows it.

If that were rue, he had two more times to move to the Texas job.

So the answer is no, he did not want the Texas job.

Saban could have that job today if he wanted it. All your money can’t buy everything. Once NIL is regulated, you’ll be Texas. Good, not good enough.
