Exactly, which supposedly isn’t the case anymore, and why this is becoming a problem

I can pretty much guarantee that a handful of those guys played a lot of soccer growing up and could easily execute a squib kick or kick a short field goal. I haven't played in over 25 years and guarantee I could do it. The mechanics and technique is all that much different. We used to goto a middle school by my house and kick FGs all the time when I was a teenager.

The way you worded this is how we know that you know very little about football. Give up. You're out of your depth.

Sarah Fuller, With a Kickoff, Is the First Woman to Play Football in a Power 5 Game. Fuller, a goalkeeper for Vanderbilt's women's soccer team, was asked to play because the football team's kicking unit could not practice because of the coronavirus.

You do realize multiple players on that team had high school kicking experience but their attempts to "tryout" were rebuffed so Sarah could "make history?"

Also, why was she named the starting kicker now that the kicking unit has returned?

Again, why are you supporting gender discrimination?

You have yet to answer that very simple question.

Damn, She sucks at kicking soccer balls too

At the higher levels goalies have some of the biggest legs on the team.

True.

And every player on Vandy's men's club team has a bigger leg than Sarah Fuller.

There's an axiom that says when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.

I’m really failing to see your point when their scholarship kickers are now off of Covid protocol and this girl is still the starter.

She can only kick it 30 yards.

Last week was a nice story but what are they doing at this point?

Vanderbilt has a men's club soccer team full of guys who likely were all-state soccer players in high school, some of who likely kicked for their HS football team.

They had one volunteer to try out who kicked 4 years at MBA. They said no. Their backup punter kicked in high school and volunteered. They said no. Their backup DB was a 4 year starter in high school at kicker. They also said no to that. The girl had never before kicked a football in her life. They picked her, sight unseen. All of their regular kickers are now available. She's still going to start. All of this is inherently wrong. Giving people things they haven't earned is wrong. I hope for nothing but future embarrassment for Vandy over this. I honestly hope enough players walk out that they don't have a game and have to forfeit. Or maybe this girl can play QB too, idk

The point is that I don't believe that they needed to bring her in to begin with and that many players on the team could have done the same thing she did.

Imagine being so woke that you defend opportunities and awards being taken away from men of color and given to white females simply because they're female.

Please post links to the poor lads being "rebuffed" .

It's being reported by Vanderbilt's rival's guy who has had access to the situation. He was on the radio today and Vandy is now trying to pull his press credentials for leaking the truth. It is also an objective fact that they have several guys on their roster that were available last week that were kickers in high school. It is also an objective fact that their kickers will not be subject to contact tracing protocols this weekend. If you don't believe people, do your own research instead of talking out of your arse.

There aren't links, just firsthand accounts. Several posters have provided them.

Are you really so naive that you think no one on the team could perform a 30 yard squib kick? Did you see her warm up "attempts" at field goals?

Jesus man

No links to the facts then ? Just narrow minded sexists displaying hatred of equal opportunity for females, and to top it off there's the little laughing emoticons. How impressive. No facts, just adorable juvenile hijinks.
