I truly think that Texas is jealous of TAMU

There really is no other reason for their vitriol towards us leading up to this game.
They acted like this has been a bitter and ugly rivalry for 70 years. Coming just short of piss balloons being hurled into the upper deck visitor section and the tiger sideline.
The only reasoning behind this mentality has got to be that deep down they are jealous of Aggie. TAMU had the foresight to jump into the SEC when the moment presented itself.

Texas got too damn cocky with their longhorn network and that is what did them in. Texas am said frick it and frick yall and went to better pastures. While Texas am gets to benefit of being in the best conference and the best football team in the state,Texas is stuck with Oklahoma in that boring arse big 12 conference. Now Texas am doesn’t need a damn thing from them either.

Uh, I didn't see that. They seemed nice enough before the game.
But as typical in college sports, they don't like losing, and so become irritating with the loss. Not unlike any other fan base - besides Vandy. The Dores have the steadiest fans in all of sports.

Well they only get to play 1 elite, storied program in the Big12. We play at least 3 or 4 every year

Texas has accomplished significantly more than A&M in Football and in sports in general. They hate them for sure but jealousy? you can’t be jealous of an awkward neighbor that is married to an ugly fat woman.

Both texas and TAMU were in the SIAA, brainchild of Dr Dudley at Vanderbilt
texas was not winning and left the SIAA
texas got TAMU - who was doing OK in the SIAA - to leave it
texas and TAMU founded the SWC
Ole Miss and Louisiana State said "no thanks" to texas and the SWC
Arkansas joined the SWC, then left it after enough texas nonsense to join the SEC
Part of the SWC merged with the Big 8 to create the Big 12
Nebraska left the Big 12 for the B1G to escape texas
Colorado left the Big 12 for the PAC to escape texas
TAMU and MU left the Big 12 for the SEC to escape texas
(granted TAMU was just rejoining the band after about 100 years)

You know why this game was so big for them?
Because beating an SEC team > Beating b12 teams.

As someone who lives amongst both of the fanbases here outside of Houston I can say A&M are like the people who try too hard to fit in but at the end of the day are just happy to be invited to the party while Texas fans are like the rich kids who think they are better than you bc of something their parents did like 20 years ago. Texas fans really are just a bunch of arrogant asses that have have no reason to be arrogant.

I too am in houston and work with a few aggies. They all down to earth good people. The people from UT coming here are either trolls and not from UT or liberal losers that cry when they dont get their way. The latter is what it feels like. Democrats are hateful people

Texas is stuck in a time lock, OU is as well, the BiG12 is a midmajor without them.
Pac-12 doesn't want them and they missed their window for the sec. FSU is the same.

I spend time on Surly Horns, and I think both fan bases have their shortcomings. Texas assumes they're "back," and pretends like 2010-2017 never happened.
They believe aTm is a buncha closet-homo Jr ROTC Nazi wanna-be's, with weird traditions. (Like the jizz jar. That can't be real, can it?)
Jizz jar not withstanding, I'm kinda on Texas's side there. Aggie is weird.

UTk and UTx have played 3 times, all in TX, between 1951 and 1969
texas leads the series 2-1
Sooners and Vols have played 4 times with a home & home in 2014 and 2015
Sooners lead the series 3-1 (tho 2 wins were recent when Vols were down)
So the Sooners have the bigger balls to play the Vols home and home and texas is too scared to leave TX

Texas was 12-6-1 in the SIAA from 1896-1906. Only 1.8 games vs conference opponents per year/less than 20% of their scheduled games each season.
Travel expenses jettisoned their departure from the conference. They scheduled closer games as an independent til 1915 when the original SWC was established with Texas centric programs.
