What needs to happen is Oklahoma to the SEC and leave Texas in the dust as an independent.

Might be best for the sport if they are forced out west to the PAC. If half the country stops caring about college football then the bubble pops.

I know the board is all about screw a&m but I don’t like this as an innocent bystander college football fan. But I’ll still pull for my Dawgs. Just don’t see the benefit in it.

Yeah. We have the money that supports these schools and the viewership. If it wasn’t already, it’s about to be NFL rookie league. Especially with NIL. This screams to me as a money grab before it all goes to shite

OU and Texas want out of Big 12. If SEC does not take them, the PAC 12 will. The SEC would be foolish to not take them. The money and instantly solidifying the conference as the top conference in college football will be too big to pass on. Granted Texas has been crap for over a decade but it is still a huge name in college football.
If it does happen, the other conferences will follow to become 16 teams. Eventually you will have the super conferences and they create their own playoffs and championships.

Of course you don’t, Kirby is “recruiting” hundreds of thousands of dollars in players, and the rules changed.
OU and TEx are getting ahead of this and inviting the best players to the best conference with brand endorsements. It’s not hard to follow.

I think college football is going to turn into the Under armour all American game. These kids and families want to get paid. They don’t care about the uniform.
