I think TAMU is walking into a trap

Gus almost always pulls some type of magic out of his hat at least once per season, and its almost always at home.
He's beaten a Top 10 team in 5 of his seven seasons at Auburn, including the last 3. He's still waiting to get one this year.
He is just 8-17 against Top 10 opponents, however at home he's been far more successful:
Road Games: 2-11
Neutral Games: 2-5
Home Games: 4-2 (all six of these games were against Top 5 teams)
We all know Aggie is not really one of the five best teams. They somehow had a great game against Florida and pulled an upset, and they are benefiting from that one win. However, they were steamrolled by Bama... they struggled mightily with two very bad teams in LSU and Vandy. The BCS computer average has them at #9 while it has Auburn at #19. FEI Ratings has A&M at #13 and Auburn at #20 (it also projects a very narrow AU win).
I think A&M's resume should have them ranked #5, however I don't think they are truly one of the five best teams. I think Auburn's resume (due to the loss to SC) is not worthy of being in the Top 25, however I think they are truly one of the best 25 teams in the country.
This game has Auburn upset written all over it IMO. It along with BYU-Coastal are the two most intriguing games of the weekend. I think AU-TAMU could go either way, but I think Auburn takes it by a TD.

Didn’t realize that pitching a shutout for 59 minutes could qualify as “struggl[ing] mightily” against LSU after not playing for three weeks.
Thanks for the pro tip.

I'm feeling it too.
This A&M team is mostly overrated. I did take some time and watch a lot of the A&M/Florida game. Mond was playing out of his mind and has not had a better game in his career.
That being said it was only what I would have considered a very good game for him but still not lights out. In this era, QBs need to have excellent games in almost all of them to really be considered a real playoff team.
Because of this, I still feel like A&M will have some game where they lose to a good or average team like Auburn. I think this is the week for that to happen. If Gus's team has not quit on him, I expect Auburn to win it.

I think this is a fair statement. When Mond is really on his game like he was vs Florida you could make the case that Ags are a legit #5. Most of the time this is not Mond.
Game does have upset potentialbut Mond probably comes out and puts on a show after last week. It's just what he does usually. I like our D and think Ags generally match up well. We are going to apply a lot of pressure.
Could Auburn win? Sure. However I think Ags win by 10 to 12 and put up big rushing numbers and win TOP. I look for Ags to grind down that suspect Auburn D.

Aggies have been trying to polish that turd so hard this week
You scored 13 points against one of the worst defenses in the country.
LSU's two true freshmen quarterbacks BOTH threw for more yards than your four year starter did against the worst pass defense in the country.

And when we win by 2 scores..."Well Auburn isn't very good anyway"

Which has been polished by every fan base on tRant so much that it looks like a bowling ball.
Props for still being in every A&M thread talking shite. At least there are a couple LSU fans with some balls.

After not playing for three weeks and after scoring more than 40 against three of its prior four opponents.
But I guess that doesn’t matter.

Auburn is 1-4 in games after playing Bama the last 4 years. The Iron Bowl is their Super Bowl. They basically give up after that game.

You're not gonna convince anyone, even if it's true. Just agree with or laugh at them.

There are a lot of aggies in this thread forgetting who they are and who they have at QB. Gus finna eat.

So you had three weeks to get healthy and gameplan and still laid that kind of egg? Wow.
I mean it isn't as if LSU has played a ton lately either, it isnt even as if this is the first time A&M has struggled on offense this season.

I’m still here and LSU deserves every piss balloon thrown it’s way after the colosal shite show currently going on.....
I think this A&M team is pretty solid and Mond is better than most Aggies give him credit for.
Overall A&M is still very much a pretender. win a National Championship..... even an SEC Championship and I may have some respect for the program. Until that happens A&M Football is the biggest poser in sports.

Total Yards Given up by the LSU Defense this year:
632- Miss St.
586- Missouri
506- Auburn
443- Arkansas
403- S. Carolina
267- Texas A&M
266- Vanderbilt
Thanks to a single 1-yard play, you avoided having the worst offensive performance against LSU all season. Congrats.

There. You have been properly warned.

That's a dumb stat. The one win was over unranked Purdue, while the four losses were against teams that finished #2, #5, #6, and #10.
What would have been A&M's record the last four years against those opponents? I'm going to say not good considering that in games following the LSU game, A&M is just 2-2 during the past four seasons with all four opponents finishing the year unranked.

Some teams actually play in big games at the end of the season...

Normally I would agree with this, but A&M had their crappy game last week vs LSU, and Auburn had their magical performance against LSU as well. I think this will be a good game and A&M ends up winning by 10-14 points. Ags are good as long as they aren't shooting themselves in the foot.

Yep. Auburn has lost a SECCG and Gus is 2-5 in bowl games, all played after the IB. It’s always BEAT BAMA.

If Mond plays like he did versus LSU thenGus wins. Auburn should be able to duplicate anything LSU did on D and more. And they will probably score
