He would make LSU & Alabama a perrenial rivalry game fought between Titans.

It would of been on par with Bo Schembechler vs. Woody Hayes.

But instead Alleva hired their Defensive Line coach.

Pruitt will rise to the occasion and begin the rivalry we deserve.

We’ll fire the inept athletic director in due time, then LSU will hire someone more competent and order will be restored. When Tennessee hires Pruitt, I laughed. But then I saw the progression that the Tennessee program made this year. Along with Pruitt focusing on the offensive line. And I have to say the guy gets it. He will be a contender.

would take Jimbo 100 out of 100 times over Orgeron.

But my schools admins went cheap.

Here we are.

He's already lightyears ahead of Dooley & Butch.

It could be a long road depending on recruiting but I believe we get there.

He’s solidifying the offensive line. That’s where it all starts.

Well we didn’t want to give a guy a guarantee that large. But yes, we went cheap. Jimbo wanted here, and we wanted jimbo. Alleva screwed the whole damn thing up.

How come Missouri blew Tennessee out?

Tennessee got whooped by a lot of teams. But I undoubtedly see a difference. Pruitt is trying to bring physicality to Tennessee. He knows that if he can solidify the run and take control of the clock then that’ll negate a lot of the other negatives. Look at his recruiting, he’s doing what’s right, not what’s popular.

I've tried to tell people that our problem is that we're built like a 7 on 7 team. All of our talent is at the skills and we had no OL (a bad OL lost it's starting Center and one of the best OT's in cfb) and very little at DL. Even so, we were world's better than last season but you can't win in any college football conference consistently if you simply do not have the bodies on OL.

Every team we played had tight ends and LBs bigger than what we had left on OL.

Yep, you get it.
I saw Tennessee play against West Virginia. The difference was the quarterback play and that’s it. Essentially Tennessee has the same line quality as the West Virginia mountaineers. But that is not going to cut it in the sec. Pruitt knows the drill and is addressing it nicely. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m pretty confident that Pruitt will have Tennessee knocking on the door of a 10 win season next year. Then you add another year of quality line recruiting and the depth that comes with that and I guarantee you that Tennessee will be a force to be reckoned with.

Unless Wanya and the other OL recruits can play immediately, I don't think we'll be that much improved next year record wise. I think our DBs will be good and our skills positions solid but we have two years of S&C and bad OL recruiting to make up for.

There's rumor that Trey Smith is going to try and return again but I wouldn't bet on it. Unless they can figure out what's causing the blood clots in his lungs it's just too dangerous for him to forgo the standard preventative treatment of blood thinners for life and you can't play on thinners.

We should definitely get Kennedy back at Center so that should help a ton -- getting both would be very good.

Really, our solution right now is recruiting. He may figure out a way to patch some of the holes with this class earlier than scheduled but it's a monster challenge. I like what I've seen coaching wise but roster wise we're just not ready.

2001-2011 was a flash not the norm. LSU is a top 20 program, not a top 5 program.

You're living in your restored order.

The dumpster fire that is Tennessee will be an eternal flame. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I don't live to see UT beat Alabama again.
