I think Macaroni Jones gets the Drew Brees (in his prime) treatment

They don't make anything look spectacular, in fact they make it look easy so its easy to overlook the greatness that is happening.

All McCorkle does is stand in and complete pass after pass, dude is completing 76.2% of his passes against an all SEC schedule and hasnt even played LSU yet

I know some discount his accomplishments due to the weapons he has but dude has still been spectacular, much better than I was expecting.

I thought you'd see more of a running Bama team with Mac just managing games but they're just going right at people and averaging dang near 30 passes a game.

I think it’s fair to say he’s exceeded all of our expectations. His accuracy/timing and pocket presence has improved ten fold. There was a pretty vocal segment of the fanbase that expected Bryce to win the job

He definitely has exceeded my expectations. Dude throws some pretty on point passes, has good vision, and pocket presence.

Didnt expect Young to beat him out this year, but I did expect Mac to be more of a game manager.

For me, all things considered, I'd take Mac over Tua. Tua likely has more upside but its hard to bet against someone who is so consistent.

Nope, most football smart Bama fans saw the saavvy and poise MACKKNIFE exhibited last year to know B.Young was going to have to wait at least 1 year if not 2!

None of those people must post here then, most thought Mac would probably struggle against Georgia and Bryce would come in.

To be blunt, we are in a better system than the RPO, quick-strike stuff of the last 2 seasons. The running game is nasty and making this offense more physical. The play-action stuff off of it is devastating. The defense is benefiting, getting plenty of rest with more ball control and TOP.

Mac is the perfect QB for this system with his deep ball accuracy and uncanny pocket presence. Sarkisian has struck gold on the ever-elusive BALANCE of a championship offensive scheme.

Go check my posts pre- LSU & AU last year. Also, the off season. He was darn near perfect against Ark and played great against AU save the 2 pick 6's which only 1 of the ints was on him.
He followed that up by killing Mich in the bowl game. Mich had 6-7 players drafted off their defense. Again, any Bama football smart fan would know all this.

Jones is projected to go in the first round of the NFL draft so unless he blows up he won't be at UA next year

Bama is dead last in TOP in the SECW.

12th overall.

That's a lot lower that last year

We still run a lot of RPO. It's just more WR screens than slants now. The only really significant difference between our offense this year and last year is that our OL this year is elite across the board and full of a bunch of mean, nasty road graders.

He has done much better and we all thought we’d see early type Bama offenses. It’s funny they say that about his weapons when Burrow having elite talent around him last year people could still see he was a great QB. He’s not Burrow or even close. Macs not nearly as athletic or as good of a runner but he’s done a fabulous job. I’ll say you can see some drop off with the loss of Jaylen Waddle. With Waddle there the ball seemed to get spread even more. It seemed Metchir was able to get more involved with Waddle out there. How Smith had stayed this productive is unbelievable and a testament to how great he really is.

Probably due to the fact that most already knew Bama's talent was great before Mac took over which wasn't the case with Burrow.

the development of the athletic tight end, Jahleel Billingsley, helps to assuage the loss of Waddle

I thought he'd be really good. He's been great. I said before the season he could turn into McCarron 2.0, but he game out of gates already at McCarron 3.2.

Well when you're scoring 40/50/60 pts/game, that is to be expected

Burrow had two *5 receiver and low 4 star he was throwing to last year. But you knew after a few games in 2019 it was osht

This:. and K. Baker was supposed to be J.Waddle like but for some reason is not getting PT. Slade Bolden is dependable, just not spectacular!

Yeah, both Chase and Marshall had really done nothing to that point and Jefferson was just solid.
