I finally had the chance to rewatch some games after seeing our dogfight with Syracuse, and Georgia's defense looked very legit. With the way recruiting is going right now also with UGA in top 5, I see Georgia around for a while. Kirby is going to be a good hire. I expect them to give Bama a good game on December. Nobody is taking their spot in the east this year.

MSU looked disappointing and like their usual self, which mainly tells me LSU is really bad right now. I honestly expect 2-6 or 3-5 in conference. A lot of fans thought we'd be somehow better this year but this setback on the lines makes us look like Texas A&M level of soft.

Like Tom Herman said, no one has any magic sprinkle dust to do wonders, not even St. Nick @ LSU or bama his first yr. Too many fans are delusional about results, no matter how much $$ coaches are paid.

Though I see your point, Herman and Saban did not have the privilege of already being on staff, building relationships with High School Coaches, etc., that O had. It is really comparing apples to O-ranges lol

Orgeron is a bad hire. Scary to see his politicians and devoted fanatics already making excuses for him.

not even St. Nick @ LSU

He took a team that went 3-8 the year before and turned them into an 8-4 team. Then, the very next year, he won the SEC title.

At Alabama he stepped into a situation less than ideal because it was a roster that lacked depth due to crippling NCAA sanctions. And while we finished the season 7-6, we were a hair's breath away from having a much better season. Had we beaten LSU in Tuscaloosa (which we came very close to doing), we would have likely finished the regular season 9-3 or 10-2. Instead, we lost to LSU in a heartbreaker and the team had yet to develop the mental fortitude to overcome that kind of adversity. They played flat for the rest of the year.

I'm waiting for Fromm to have his Freshman mishap. I'm not sure if it'll happen...

9/12, 201 yards, 2 TD, 0 int isn't a bad day at the office...

LSU is in the middle of putting the highest amount of players in the NFL. You can't compare Orgeron's situation to a "rebuild" like when Nick took over for Dinardo or whoever at Alabama.

Comparing O and Nick taking over LSU is a false narrative started by sunshine pumpers.

LSU is not good. I don't think they are worse than OM, Arky, or A&M though. I saw State in person against La Tech and outside of their defensive front 7 was not that impressed with them. Auburn I'm still not sure about. Solid defense but there seems to be issues still offensively.... and you can't justify an argument based on putting 1000 points on Mizzou. Everyone will do that.
I think right now it's clearly Bama and then State/Auburn winner
and then everyone else.
Not exactly a banner year for the West.

He tucks and runs too much instead of throwing the ball away. He had a fumble against Samford, I think. Luckily, it was Samford.

Hopefully, he gets more experience on when to run and when to chuck it to the sideline. The last thing we need is him getting hurt like Eason did trying to extend a failed play.

Georgia looks better coached than I've seen them in a long time. I had some doubts about Kirby, and it's still early in his career, but I'm impressed so far.

That's a legit defense. Not used to seeing that kind of consistency from them.

I think we are pretty dominant. But we had a lot of talented sophomores and juniors last year who returned (10 of them).

The difference between a good defense and a dominant one might be this upcoming offseason losing a lot of big names to the NFL.

They are playing him safe right now. The 60 yard pass to start the game would pad any stats.

The rant told you that LSU made a bad hire. We told you that O got fired from Ole Miss and is a position coach for reason. LSU being delusional as always bite them . You want to use youth as an excuse. Doesnt LSU lose alot of talent to the NFL every year but you want use that as an excuse now. Les was guaranteed 8-10 wins a year. You asked for horrible season and looks like you got it. If Mullen ever leaves, I want P.J. Fleck. That's the best up and coming coach in America.
