I still don't get it about Miles.

Tennessee and Miles are perfect for each other. Land a kick arse OC and bring back Chavis. Rights the program and hands over the keys in 3 or 4 years.

I would guess it is not ideal to PLAN to do this again in "3 or 4 years". Plus, how do you recruit with THAT as a forgone conclusion?

Sounds like LSU should hire him

Miles is a dinosaur. He has no place in today's college football.

if they consider hiring miles, they may as well consider hiring fulmer

Who wants to tell Miles he is just a stop gap?

HCIW situation with a young OC.

Isn't Miles cashing LSU checks as part of his severance? This is probably a big part of it.

OP, Miles is a joke.
When will you ever figure it out?

old. runs archaic offense. unprepared in interviews apparently.

That archaic offense got him a national title and 2 SEC titles. Not too bad when you consider Saban taking over the conference.

That's harsh and I would not put it that way but I think there is a public perception that Miles is not a very smart guy due to his poor public speaking ability. My take is that Miles' success was more due to having the lion's share of excellent talent out of Louisiana than he is coaching ability.

and stubborn as frick. That is his problem - he won't adapt.

it also got him fired. he could have been at LSU another 5-10 years had chosen to evolve.

Does not compute.

This is true. He was too loyal to his coordinators and stuck in his ways to change offenses

If Miles was good enough to be a HC at a good program he would still be at LSU. Bad idea for Tenn. He would be a good fit for the mac.
