The red faced sideline tirades. Confused defenders pointing at each other. The puzzled look on Ed Os visage. I shall miss it all.

Farewell Bo. Be nice to your cat.

Yet another coach who went to the Big 12, 10 or PAC and thought he knew what the SEC was all about and came back to complete and utter failure.

Last year wasn't all Pelini's fault. Ed O was insistent on changing to a 4-3 scheme, Pelini told him it wasn't a good idea. Considering we were recruiting for a 3-4 which Aranda ran, I was a little confused as to why we would change as well.

In his prime Bo was a pretty good hand as a DC. Particularly when he had a ton of talent to work with.

I think what did him in the second time around at LSU was that he was well past his sell by date and had been out of the SEC for too long. You don't come in, as a DC, after 5 years at Youngstown State to an SEC program and not have a miserable first year.

That’s bullshite.

We ran majority nickel sets just as we had done the past few years.

Being in a 4-3 or 3-4 had nothing to do with our DBs having no clue what set or play they were running

I don’t think you understand how historically shitty he was

This pic is the most succinct representation of both Pelini and the LSU fan base in general last year..

both funny and infuriating...

That’s not true. He had a good run here the first time. some LSU DCs were never good.

I have a feeling that had Bo Pelini known beforehand that he would not only be charged with transitioning LSU from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 defense, but that there would be no spring practice, no summer workouts and player run practices, and only an abbreviated fall camp and that he would have to teach and coach his new defensive team only via Zoom without any practice reps, that he never would have taken the job.

Really? When? Were you a fly on a wall? Who told you this? Obviously, you are making idiotic assumptions you have no clue about because you hate Ed O.

Nobody knew beforehand, not Ed O or Bo Pelini, that there would be no spring practice, no summer workouts and player run practices, and only an abbreviated fall camp, and that the only way Bo would be able to teach his new 4-3 defense would be via Zoom and without any practice reps because of the Covid Pandemic.

Last year, the players were all lost in space because they didn't know the defense. I mean you can only teach so much via Zoom. Not to mention that there were also no practice reps. Well then, it's easy to see how the defensive fiasco that was last year happened.

I know Bo Pelini is the scapegoat and gets all the blame for the fiasco on defense last season, but honestly, I'm not so sure that anyone else given the set of circumstances could have done any better.

Indeed, I think attempting to transition from a 3-4 defense to a 4-3 defense during an unforeseen Covid Pandemic fluke year is the culprit for last season more than it was Bo Pelini, Ed O, or anything else.
