I recently discovered that my great-great-uncle played football for Texas A&M in the 1910s

But he married a woman.

I'm confused.

Being gay was not socially acceptable then and your great great grandmother was his cover woman

Did he play on the 1917 or 1919 teams? Those teams' defense allowed a grand total of ZERO points.

No. He left after 1916 and went to war.

He wasn’t a pilot by chance was he?

In all seriousness because historical tidbits are fun, he was in the 82nd Infantry (today's 82nd Airborne) and was one of the 95,000 Americans who were wounded in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.

Lets get back to the A&M jokes.

I haven't seen a roster, but I don't think he played receiver.

What is there to joke about? A&M is a great school for which I have nothing but respect and admiration. They have a tremendous history, inspiring traditions, and unbounded potential. Jimbo is going to build a dynasty without peer in College Station, he's part of the West Virginia Head Coach master race. I humbly welcome our new Aggy Overlords and wish them nothing but success in the future.

Ah, but you see you answered your own question later on.

He left to go fight in World War I. That escape meant they weren't able to finish brainwashing him into collecting jizz jars. Your family owes the Kaiser a big thank you.

I think it would be aunt but she might be the original beard. Perhaps she had a real beard and was also cover for the uncle and his proclivity towards gay dalliances hence the term's existence.

Cocky- are your people hirsute?

Were they using jars back then or did he just jizz into a burlap sack?

1902/‘03

1906 (vs TCU)

1908

1910

Do you know why he was reluctant to graduate and leave aTM? He didn’t want to leave his teammates behind.

Yuk yuk yuk
