When that score became 28-14 and when it looked like Georgia was about to score again, I couldn't help but flashback to the 2009 SEC Championship Game and wonder if this was our Waterloo like that game was for Florida. Because had we gone down 35-14 or even 31-14, I feel as if the floodgates might have opened. None of the conditioning our players have been given by Scott Cochran could have quelled the momentum Georgia would have had after going up three scores.

Kudos to the team for never giving up. I must admit, I was ready to wave the white flag yesterday evening. I just didn't see anyway we could come back. Georgia had the momentum, they had Tua contained, and they had the revenge factor. It's a testament to Saban's coaching and our team's no-quit attitude that we were not only able to come back but that we were also able to win.

I’m ashamed at how I lost faith myself. I thought they were gonna run away. But that’s the greatest thing about Saban’s teams and Alabama really as a whole for the past 15 years. We fight to the end, sometimes we still lose. Other times it works out and they come back like last night. Major props to those guys for continuing to fight, and shame on me for doubting it could happen. Although, I had a strangely good feeling when Jalen came in. Like he had to all the confidence in the world to lead the troops back, and he did.

Yeah, but Tebow and company Florid'ed your arse in 2008, on our way to taking Oklahoma in the BCS title game and put a hurt on them. OU was averaging 51 points a game and a lotta folks wonder how we could stop them...about 14 points?

Can’t 2009 Florida without a crying Tebow and hypochondriac Meyer

They were beating us badly in the trenches, Tua was playing bad, and our WR were dropping balls right and left. Nothing about the game said victory at all.

Luckily, Jalen’s faith is greater than Tebow’s

That missed field goal was the play of the game. Changed the whole dynamic.

Arkansas's experience with Florida 2009 still makes me legit angry when I think about it.

I can't wait to see what fun and interesting ways you guys next year will find to pull my heart out of chest, set it on fire, and then stomp on it. Its so mind numbingly frustrating to have the best UGA teams of my lifetime (Was 4 in '80) only to have Bama and Saban yank it from us.

Anyway good luck to you in the playoffs. I'm sure you will once again make the SEC proud.

The combination of dropped passes, Tua being hurt a lot worse than I thought he was (and it obviously affecting his play), and our defense struggling in the first half really had me worried.

But . . . I felt Bama would come back and make it close. Wasn't sure about winning but I felt they would make it close - they have a winning attitude and it either puts teams away early or gives them a chance in tight games.

How ironic that a missed fg and bungled fake swung the game for Bama

This game proved that Bama at their worse was better than UG at their best.

It's sad I have more faith in Bama than Bama fans. You guys are littered with 4 and 5 star talent and the greatest coach of ALL TIME.

Been a Bama fan since Bear first came back and I never take ANY game for granted. I've seen it ALL.

And I never forget: Every Mike Tyson has his Buster Douglas.

After Alabama went 3 and out twice to open the second half, and watching Georgia march to a score and drive again to the Alabama 13, I knew the game was lost.

ESPN gave Georgia a 94.6% win probability at that point.

When that kick went wide, though, the guys I watched game with all exchanged looks. No cheers, just acknowledgement that this might be the start of something.

I still believe that we will be much more than your Buster Douglas. No disrespect, but I have not seen a team push you around the way we did the first half in a very long time.....if ever during the Saban era. You guys definitely have the scoreboard on all of this but unless you are blind you saw that.

Our roster is loaded with underclassmen talent. If Kirby can get his head screwed on straight, we will defeat you in the upcoming years.

In a good game, it usually boils down to a handful of plays. Saturday night, two come to mind: The missed FG, and the botched fake punt. I thought after the missed chip shot, that Bama had a puncher's chance. When UGA failed to convert on the fake punt, I exhaled for the first time in about two hours; I thought Jalen had it covered.

This was a bad look for Kirby Smart. He should have taken ownership for the fake punt; it was simply a horrible call. If his team didn't get lined up in time, and if Bama had moved to cover the receiver, he should have taken a TO. Either way, it is on the coaches.

The thing that gets overlooked in all of the shouting, is Alabama's Defense. After getting pushed around for much of the first half, they played an outstanding second half. Holding that UGA team to 7 points for 30 minutes is unbelievable.
