I'm not confident in Jones, but it's funny how his teams got significantly better as he replaced more of Kelly's players.

I guess I'm the only one that likes Butch Jones? I wouldn't rank him high before he coaches at least a season, but I think if the vol fans wouldn't have been stupid even talking about the possibility of Gruden, they would like the hire a lot more. As it played out, they go their hopes sky high, their search took longer than expected, and anything short of a huge splash was going to be disappointing.

Regardless of how this hire turns out, there's no doubt that the search was handled with as little competence as possible.

If you are going to put Pinkel at the bottom of the list at least spell his name right....

Don't sweat it. Jeff Long couldn't get his first choice. I think that hire was as good as Arkansas fans could have hoped for.

Isn't that a good reason to not spell his name right?

hows this make sense to you

jones stoops and malzahn ranked above pinkel for doing nothing

freeze has a decent year for ole miss and has a good recruiting class on paper but he's better than muschamp and pinkel

kevin sumlin #2 over 2 coaches with titles for having 1 good year

franklin ranked #3 over 2 coaches with titles for making vandy decent last year

Didn't nick make a few coaching blunders in nov '11.

Clock management? Besides the ole miss game name another where there was a perceived clock management issue?

Time ran out, couldn't have run another play. There was no spike with one second left.

Last time LSU played @ UT the tigers won 38-7.

Les has been at LSU since '05. In those eight seasons LSU is the ONLY SEC team to avg 30 pts a game in seven of eight.

LSU is also the ONLY SEC team to have no less than EIGHT wins every season since '05.

So you ignore the number of points Sumlin's offense was able to put up at Houston?
That was due to Holgorsen and Keenum.

But but, one year Houston didn't do good with their 3rd string qb!

Meanwhile Cam Cameron is fired, production goes up for Baltimore and they win the Super Bowl.

But please, go on?

Cam was the winningest OC in the NFL over the last five seasons.

Let's let Kevin Sumlin actually win something before putting him ahead of coaches with multiple divisional, SEC, and even national titles.
