Probably after the 1st footballl game is played. The whole thing was a bluff for political reasons that have nothing to do with football. The BIG10 has too much to lose if they don’t play. This whole covid thing is just a mass hysteria drummed up for political reasons and that’s becoming clearer every day. If the millions of fans in the Midwest have to watch everyone else play football why they sit on the sidelines for no real reason, it’s going to make people’s heads explode and they will go after the leadership that refused to play.

Academics are pompous asses, living in ivory towers. They will never, ever admit they are wrong. Their party wants to shut the country completely down again.

If they don’t play they’re committing suicide as a conference. All member schools will be damaged. It’s like all the schools receiving the death penalty for 1 season.

Zero chance. Big 10 president said no wavering in decision but did say he should of said it better. 10 out of 12 universities health panels refused to sign off on the season

Gotta agree with Saban. Sad to see these university presidents go to these lengths to support their political views.

Well...They’ll hand Donald Trump the election if the BIG10 doesn’t play football. It was a stupid move politically. They painted themselves into a corner with their hysterics and their circular firing squads.

You’re obviously a midwit. Let me explain....Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Iowa are all swing states. The Democratic governors and administrators are the ones pushing this shutdown of everything including football and everyone...except you apparently....are aware of this.

Absolutely no way they play. Northerners are too arrogant to admit they were wrong and Southerners are right in general. Add the self-perceived superiority of academia and you can forget them backsliding.

Hell, this site is overwhelmingly Southern and you still have idiots who are trying to act like this is anything more than a seasonal flu. The smug B1G will carry on the fiction of 160K deaths and try to burn down the country.

The big ten's inflated view of themselves will prevent them from backtracking.

Will any of us play a 10 game season this fall? Right now on the morning of Aug 26th it is difficult to definitively say.
The big ten, and their followers on the West coast, jumped the gun on cancellation. They cancelled much, much too early.
They should have played it by ear until the start of the season and go from there.
