Auburn is due for a average of a 8 to 9 win season next year. In 2004 they went 13-0 to 9-3 in 2005

14-0 in 2010 to 8-5 in 2011

12-2 in 2013 to 8-5 in 2014

They havent beaten bama in back to back years since 2006 and 2007.
They havent beaten UGA back to back since 2004 and 2005.

Seeing thier biggest rivals play in the title game. Really took the cake. Also, losing to the dawgs in the sec title. Still stings!! I'm sorry war sparrows...

Thank you for sharing Auburn data.

All kidding aside Auburn was going to troll whoever lost. In all honesty we are the only school that can really get away with it thanks to our two wins in convincing fashion when we were "healthy".

As you suggest watching uga play bama for a title was a lose/lose for us, but in the end it went about as good as an Auburn fan could hope. It wasn't really a game defined by great plays as much as it was by mistakes. bama should have won in regulation and gave it away...uga tried to piss away OT but the kicker bailed them out...then bama ironically gave up a sack which provided the space to allow the freshman QB/WR, who are only at bama because Kirby went to uga, to make a deep ball play to win.

The injuries in the SEC title game sucked, but it is what it is. We knew we were only a good team this year. We were hoping for a bit of fortune but it wasn't our year. All trolling aside I thought ya'll would beat bama because it "felt" like your year.

Can you say that with a straight face? Because Auburn is there due to Alabama missing numerous guys.

Because picking on Georgia is kind of like picking on the kid in junior high school who walks around all day with a kick me sign on his back. Just too easy of a target to pass up.

As somebody else said, Georgia Tech has a more recent national championship

I can except that Auburn benefitted from bama having injuries in the Iron Bowl.

What difference would a healthy bama D have made? 6 points? 9 points? 12 points?

Nobody outside your own fan base can even name the players you were missing. Even with those players back, you still had to go into overtime to beat a team we crushed in Jordan Hare. The same place we crushed you

Auburn has won 10 games in a season back to back one time since Robert E lee was actually riding the horse.

They do talk a great game down in lee county. It is part of their Tradition. It just means more.

Alabama would have certainly gotten more snaps out of Miller and Lewis. Those are two good pass rushers. And a healthy Shaun Dion Hamilton to call signals changes a lot on defense.

Maybe we should follow the shorty Saban model for success. Pass out Dodge Chargers to everyone, never suspend or kick off any decent player, cover up failed drug test, implant a horseshoe up the head cosch's arse, and pray our main eastern division rival sucks for the next decade

Wow. That sure is a lot of spin. Way to go.

I'd note that Alabama was way more decimated with injuries when we played Auburn than Auburn was when they played UGA in the SEC title game. By the time the playoffs rolled around, we had back a couple of the 4 linebackers we lost in the regular season.
