I love me some DeVonta Smith, but Mac Jones was robbed of MVP last night

Smith was out for just about the entire second half with a dislocated finger. Undaunted, Jones kept the offense going with his efficient passing. He put up 464 yards and threw for 5 TDs. I understand that Smith accumulated over 200 receiving yards in one half of action, but Mac Jones ran that offense to perfection against Ohio State.

Definitely not an intelligent or original one, sadly.

Have to stay on the bamma level to make you feel included. Hey, congrats on one of the top 15-20 seasons of all time. Nice little run this season. Bragging rights for a year.

Bama owns LSU. You could win 25 in a row and still not having a winning record in the series .Your children won’t live to see it.

Mac threw 50% of his passes behind the line of scrimmage. DeVonta was easily the MVP.

bullshite

And some of behind the LOS throws he did make were tough screen throws - running backwards and still threw little dimes.

Are you saying Bama kicked the shite out of OSU with a bunch of players that had Covid?

Either OSU is weak, or Covid is.

Mack had a great year and never had a bad game in 2020.

Mac was the best for 4 quarters and really deserved the MVP. Now it's time for the draft stuff to rachet up and we get to hear how Fields is so much better than Jones. Crazy how so many continue to underestimate Mac's arm talent. I guess he just makes it look too easy.

Mac "Screen-Pass" Jones should be the MVP for throwing 20+ passes behind or near the LOS?

So stupid. Some of you guys have zero football knowledge.

You understand ALL of those short (swing, slants, etc.) passes are Mac making a read at the line of scrimmage (i.e. RPOs) and putting Bama into the right call.

He makes top level adjustments.

Got to be tough being a barner fan and still intellectually void of football knowledge. Bama is a play-action, chunk passing team and has been all year. In short, no football team in America has thrown the ball down the field like this offense. Where have you been?

Don't be hard on the Captain. The only thing he really studies is the Communist Manifesto.

What completion percentage did he finish with last night? At one point he was in the 80s, which is also high for a college QB. Pointed that out and it was MUH SCREEN PASSES out of the LSU fans too.
