It's because he wasn't able to steal Georgia's QB in time.
Gus's main problem is that if he isn't stealing someone's QB they don't do very good. He tries to throw the ball anyways which is silly because he has a really good running back down there. He should run the ball more often if he hasn't stolen someone else's QB.
This is the main reason why Arkansas never gave him an official offer.

I know, they were 1 year too late. Latavious Brini will lead them to a Natty in 2019. It has to be a former UGA DB or UF QB for the magic to work.

Isn't Baylor a Division 2 school? Like I said, he should have stole Georgia's QB. He is better.

Ha, they have a better record and more top 15 finishes than Arkansas for the last decade. However, they are currently tied in disgraced coach firings so congrats.
