Shouldnt we count 7?? I mean he is pretty much the reason LSU won it in 2007.

Sure. Bama gets to make the rules up as they go so why not?

Just count 12 or 15. UCF can make stuff up then so can Bama.

I don’t know. I thought Saban was pretty much shooting primarily for national championships where he doesn’t have to win his division or the league. You sure you want a two-loss championship where both of those goals were achieved?

Lester did an awful job of coaching that year. Saban goes 14-0 with that team.

Nice logic. So I guess Saban’s first championship at Bama should go to Shula right?

Uh No.

Saban left Lester a Lamborghini, Shula left Saban a fricking beat up Pinto

I disagree. While Saban recruited much of the talent on that team, he had ZERO to do with their coaching and development post 2004. Les Miles doesn’t get nearly enough credit for his coaching ability, as LSU fans are finding out now that Special Ed is in charge. So what if Miles won with Saban’s players....he could have just as easily lost with them.
